So, let’s look at some players who made some big moves over the club season and are working their way up the rankings.
Burns plays up an age level with MN Select 16-1 and she is a rock solid 1st contact. She doesn’t give up on a ball that skims off the net or changes direction off of the blockers hands. I like her energy and how she gets her hips under the hard driven attack to keep the ball on er side of the net.

I will admit I usually look for those 6 rotation high impact athletes to put in the number one spot but Hoecke’s athleticism and the damage she is doing while playing an age level up speak volumes. She doesn’t shy from taking the first contact if a serve is trying to throw her off by serving short. She maintains control and still makes a dynamic approach. Name the tempo and she will terminate it. I really like the relationship she has with her setter, Teagan Jaynes Teagan Jaynes 6’0″ | S Northfield | 2025 State MN , because they just seem to communicate telepathically. There were some really big schools watching her in Chicago in July so I think there are big things in her bright future.

I’ve seen Burley play in a couple different roles. I’ve seen her as a defensive specialist, a libero, and as a pin hitter. No matter the role she is a competitor and she finds a way to win. I put a really high value on the athletes that can make an impact in 6 rotations as well as serve in different roles and do it well! Burley is a player that you’d love to have 6 of on your team.

Major made a big move up in the rankings after I saw her play a few times this winter. Her versatility on the pins and consistency across all six rotations make her a great pick-up for the next level. Major uses the block and knows her shots that will help her score. She finds a way around the block to use the deep court or fires away and buries the ball if the block is late.

Worwa first caught my attention at the Prep Dig Gauntlet this year and let me warn you, don’t let the pigtails fool ya. She is a beast at the net and her effectiveness in terminating is really impressive. Worwa knows how to work the angles off the block in the middle and if she gets the opportunity to swing from the pin, watch out!
