Top 250 Expo: 2025/2026 Middles That Impressed

The last time we watched Brewer play was at the previous expo about a year ago, and the progress made to her game in a year is unreal. These rapid developments are a testament to her hard work. Seeing Brewer play now, she is faster, stronger, and technically, much more refined. Her athleticism and physicality were on full display. With a hammer of an arm, she was pounding ball after ball during hitting lines. And she proved hard to stop during gameplay. Only a sophomore, she showcases a lot of potential with a high recruiting ceiling. While she proved she could attack a multitude of sets, her swing on the slide was incredibly deadly. This was demonstrated during hitting lines and continued through scrimmages. She has a high reach and a fast snap on the ball. Her ability to connect well with and score points on a multitude of sets and plays was consistent throughout the entire showcase. She continued to mix up her attack location, making her hard to predict, proving to be a productive offensive option for her team during gameplay. As a blocker, Godard is technically disciplined. With long arms, she takes up a lot of space with her hands. During hitting lines, she got some solid swings off different setters. She worked hard in transition during gameplay and made herself available to the setter. As a blocker, she took up space and forced the opposing attacker to work around her. Her play at the Top 250 Expo stood out; she was definitely in the upper echelon of middle blockers in attendance. Her transition off the block was fast, and when she could not get back to the 10-foot line, she pivoted quickly and got up for a quick set. She adjusted to new setters with ease, communicating and scoring points. Although she looked a little undersized in the middle, she played much taller than her frame, with an impressive vertical jump and a heavy arm. Blocking, she makes fast lateral movements to get to the pins and takes up a lot of space with her hands.
