Brooke played lights-out volleyball at the Gauntlet. Her fast-paced offense keeps her team in tight games. Brooke is reliable and consistent yet is not afraid to take risks with her sets. She is a nationally-ranked setter in this class and was really impressive at the Gauntlet.
Highlights
Rayna is a 6’2″ setter with some of the quickest hands on the court. She is fast, athletic, and has a very high volleyball IQ. Even when she is on the move, she makes heads-up plays that set her team up for success. Rayna is also nationally ranked and her control and leadership on the court proved exactly why.
Highlights
Anna is a high-level lefty setter and right side. She caught my eye throughout the tournament. She has a clean contact on the ball, is relentless on the court, and knows how to make even the toughest plays work. Her ability to place balls precisely is a huge asset to her team.
Abigail is the #1 ranked setter in Missouri and also nationally ranked in her class. She is so gritty and dynamic it is hard not to be impressed by her. She runs the offense for a very competitive Rockwood Thunder team. She is a tough defender and a super well-rounded player.
Highlights
Sari is one of the top-ranked setters in the state of Wisconsin and was a huge leader as a setter and hitter at the Gauntlet. She led her team to a 3rd-place finish. Sari is an energizer on the court and gets a lot of touches on the ball. When she isn’t setting, she is a go-to hitter on her team.
Highlights
Peyton is a player to watch in this class. I had the opportunity to watch her at the IHSA State Tournament this past year, and she was incredibly impressive. Now, she has nearly an entire club season under her belt, and she is looking better than ever. She only continues to improve and impress as a setter. She can also hit which makes her just as dangerous in the front row.
Highlights
Caroline has a clean touch on the ball and an insane amount of raw athletic talent. She sets her hot hitters and keeps everyone involved offensively. Caroline seems to absorb information at a high level and appears to improve even from day 1 to day 2 of the tournament.
Calista really caught my eye at the Gauntlet because of her sheer athleticism and court awareness. She ran a 5-1 throughout the tournament and never seemed to run out of energy. She also put up an effective block and stopped a lot of pins in their tracks.
Highlights
Marlee is one of the hardest-working athletes on the court. She has great hands and is efficient in moving to the ball. She works to better the ball on every play and is a leader for her team. She is a player with huge potential and one I can’t wait to continue to see play.
Highlights
Lilliani exploded onto my radar last summer at the Prep Dig Sizzle, and she continues to improve. She has a quick, clean touch on the ball and has a lethal serve. Lilliani moves the ball around so fast, and she is always pushing her hitters. She is fearless on the court and has a lot of potential.
Highlights
Lydia ran a 5-1 at the Gauntlet, and she worked hard on every play. She is defensively very strong and picks up a lot of balls in the back row. Lydia is relentless on the court and has great fundamentals. She never gives up on a play, and her positive attitude and work ethic are contagious.
Highlights
Mia is a player who I hadn’t yet seen play live, and she impressed me. She is tall and has a high contact and quick touch on the ball. She moves her sets around efficiently and has quick footwork to the ball. Mia never missed a beat on the court and is a player with a lot of potential.
Taylor is a setter with a lot of experience, even though she is just finishing up her freshman year. She is no stranger to pressure on the court, and she handles it very well. Taylor plays with a lot of grit and will do everything she can to better the ball. She has awesome court awareness and is very smart with her decisions.
Highlights
Meghan is crazy fast on the court. Her speed, combined with the precision of her sets, keeps her offense moving quickly. She has a great touch on the ball and manages to get her hands on even some of the toughest passes.
Gigi is a player to watch in this class. At 5’11”, she can dominate in the front and back row. She has crisp, clean sets and is quick to run down balls. Gigi can also swing and is an offensive powerhouse as well as a highly talented setter.
Highlights
Kaelyn is the #1 player in her class in Minnesota, and she played like it throughout the tournament. She plays with the maturity and game-smarts of a player much older than she is. Kaelyn rarely made an error and had some jaw-dropping plays. She had a great connection with her middles which is very hard to achieve. Kaelyn is also a powerhouse hitter who manufactured points whenever she wasn’t setting.
Highlights
Payton is dominant as a setter. She is already running a 5-1 efficiently and is absolutely a huge talent in this class. Payton will be a name to know because she is already 6’1″ and has great form and a high volleyball IQ. She is very quick and is a setter with near-infinite potential.
