GJNC Player Spotlight: Nebraska 17s Setters

One of those pressing topics is the setters--one of Nebraska's strongest position groups in this age group. We have so much to say following Las Vegas' season-ending event. This Norris standout battled through an injury while still maintaining her familiar form and finesse. Boesiger gave her all to [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 17 Synergy's swan song tournament. It's another entry in a long list of memories we'll carry through Synergy's deeply rooted journey in the Nebraska club scene. The Skutt Catholic prep athlete has taken part in state championship runs and a gauntlet of high-level matches on the club side. Anderson gained more valuable experience in Las Vegas and will apply those skills to another pivotal fall season. This Papio South standout brings intensity regardless of the pressure or other circumstances. That was evident at GJNC as Solomon and Premier Nebraska 17 Gold weathered several close matches to reach 17 National's Gold bracket. Solomon is physical enough to challenge opposing left-side hitters and is not afraid to become part of the offense herself. She then piloted Gretna East to a state tournament appearance in the school's inaugural volleyball season. This list of accomplishments inflated further as Potthoff and Premier Nebraska 17 Black punched its Nationals ticket through the Windy City Qualifier. She set the Warriors to a state title and quickly translated that momentum to the club campaign with [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE']. Donovan's smooth style became a catalyst for 17 Black's triumph at Windy City, and the wins kept rolling in at GJNC. This dynamic setter embraces these challenges and has a knack for rallying her Banzai VBC 17 Select teammates. April's Windy City Qualifier laid the foundation for Banzai's trip to GJNC in the 17 Liberty division. From there, Craven has kept improving through her distribution and up-tempo sets. She meshed well with this year's Premier 17 Red group and brought a lot more than just quality second contacts. The Omaha Westside setter also offered defensive grit at GJNC and filled seams well from the right-back area. The ironclad connection with her [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 17 Black hitters helped the team clinch its 17 American championship at Show Me. Waido kept raising the standard at GJNC and showed us all the skills we'd expect from the Wahoo standout. She can spread the ball around in any rotation and is particularly good at getting pins in rhythm from the back row.
