She was the unquestioned senior leader for Papio South this year and proved it one more time in the 3-0 championship win against Elkhorn South. The setter-opposite finished one dig short of a triple-double and was also one of the Titans’ most effective servers.

Papio South doesn’t have many seniors on its roster, but quality supersedes quantity. Solomon is the focal point of everything the Titans do. The Jacksonville State commit is Papio South’s primary setter, and she delivers crisp balls with pace to all of her attackers. However, Solomon also shoulders a major frontcourt attacking role and can hit from any zone along the net. She can effectively become a left-side hitter in the front row–a rare sight at the prep level. In short, this senior does anything to win.

She has battled through recent injuries to guide the Titan offense and has made herself a full-time signal-caller in the 5-1. Like many of the setters on this list, Solomon has been willing to scratch and claw through adversity throughout her prep career. This Papio South standout brings intensity regardless of the pressure or other circumstances. That was evident at GJNC as Solomon and Premier Nebraska 17 Gold weathered several close matches to reach 17 National’s Gold bracket. Solomon is physical enough to challenge opposing left-side hitters and is not afraid to become part of the offense herself. One more high school outing is on deck.

Solomon has kept showing that steady command we’ve come to expect from the Premier 17 Gold setter. This Jacksonville State commit has flourished in a variety of roles throughout her prep career. She’s been a setter-opposite, a setter in a 6-2, and has run the show herself in a 5-1. Solomon took the reins of 17 Gold’s offense en route to a championship run, so we couldn’t leave her out of this one.

We documented her momentous 2023 club season that culminated in a GJNC appearance, and now she’s added another postseason bid to her prep resume. The mixture of physicality and finesse that Solomon brings is suitable for a lot of rosters at the next level. 2024 will bring more opportunities to prove it.
