<p>Every match matters and there will be quite a few key ones all around Texas on October 11. We picked three of them to feature as you prepare for an intense day of high school action in Texas:</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Walnut Grove vs. Greenville - 5:00 PM @ Walnut Grove HS</h2>

<p>Starting up North in Dallas, the duel between the Walnut Grove Wildcats and the Greenville Lions could have serious implications in the District 9 playoff picture. Walnut Grove have 23 wins and 14 losses this season and are currently in fourth place in the district with five wins and three losses. Junior setter/right side [player_tooltip player_id='300846' first='Danielle' last='Whitmire'] (538 assists, 223 kills, 256 digs, 30 aces), junior outside hitter Vivian Crumley (254 kills, 206 digs, 459 passes), senior middle Ashlyn Good (134 kills, 57 blocks), senior outside hitter Samantha Torres (132 kills, 242 digs, 394 passes, 30 aces) and sophomore libero [player_tooltip player_id='433645' first='Lauren' last='Aguilar'] (266 digs, 254 passes, 25 aces) are the ones to watch on this team.</p>

<p>Greenville's season has 20 wins and 14 losses as of now, with the team appearing in fifth place in the district with three wins and five losses. Leading the Lions on the court are junior setter/right side Jaxey Walker (638 assists, 116 kills, 249 digs, 43 aces), senior middle [player_tooltip player_id='357761' first='Jillian' last='Dracos'] (215 kills, 36 blocks, 48 aces), senior outside hitters Ashlee Robison (222 kills, 98 digs, 112 passes) and Trinity Washington (134 kills, 168 digs, 162 passes) and senior libero Caitlyn Musil (290 digs, 478 passes, 36 aces).</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">College Station vs. Montgomery - 6:00 PM @ College Station HS</h2>

<p>In the Houston area, the College Station Cougars will meet the Montgomery Bears in what should be an exciting District 17 matchup. College Station have secured 24 wins and nine losses overall this season, with a campaign of six wins and one loss putting them in second place in the district. Junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='318129' first='Blair' last='Thiebaud'] (600 assists, 261 kills, 282 digs, 53 blocks, 61 aces) has been incredibly productive for them. Other key players are sophomore outside hitter Cooper Binderup (207 kills, 153 digs, 379 passes), senior outside hitter Addisyn Green (200 kills, 34 blocks), junior middle Charlotte Taquet (119 kills, 56 blocks) and junior libero [player_tooltip player_id='609704' first='Haley' last='Nash'] (373 digs, 428 passes, 150 assists, 59 aces).</p>

Sophomore outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='443017' first='Delaney' last='Wright'] (403 kills, 381 digs, 492 passes, 43 aces), junior middle Savannah Welch (190 kills, 78 blocks), senior libero Ellie Sadler (447 digs, 490 passes, 44 aces), senior outside hitter Mckenzie Hope (187 kills, 130 digs, 117 passes) and junior setter Kennedy Marriott (467 assists, 189 digs, 33 aces) are all having strong seasons.</p>

<p>In the San Antonio-Austin region, the top two teams in District 29, the Johnson Jaguars and the Canyon Cougars, will clash. Johnson have accumulated 33 wins and just six losses this season and are at the top of the district standings with an undefeated campaign of seven wins. Senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='208764' first='Zaniah' last='Hoskins'] (567 kills, 159 digs, 321 passes), senior setter/right side Brooklyn Myers (611 assists, 204 kills, 253 digs), freshman outside hitter Mya Ibarra (257 kills, 144 passes), junior libero [player_tooltip player_id='306916' first='Rileigh' last='Butler'] (598 digs, 605 passes, 46 aces) and junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='446001' first='Macy' last='Phillips'] (381 assists, 162 digs, 30 aces) have been instrumental in the team's strong season.</p>
