It's always tough to see a senior class depart from Nebraska's prep stage. However, the high school season always gives us extraordinary senior sendoffs to put a bow on magnificent careers. Today's feature looks at some of the best.

Here are some swan song seasons we were grateful to cover this fall.

Hart has one of the most fascinating career progressions in Nebraska's 2025 class. She started her prep journey as a high-flying middle blocker with Gretna before moving over to Millard West. Not only did Hart change venues, but she also started to spend more time at outside hitter and showed her incredible versatility in the frontcourt. The Oral Roberts signee lit up opposing defenses in Class A and remains one of Nebraska's top multi-position athletes.

Speaking of multi-position athletes, we can't leave Kamery off this list. The two-time state champion led a Minden renaissance while playing a dual setter-hitter role. Kamery spent multiple years near the top of Nebraska's kill leaderboard, even as she assisted on many of her teammates' terminations. We also have fond memories of Kamery competing on the club side, whether it was with Nebraska Pride or the early interactions of [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] Synergy. In-state impact awaits at Wayne State.

Dalton somehow made seven kills per set look like an ordinary feat. The North Dakota-bound outside hitter finished just shy of 2,000 career kills with Fremont and helped turn the Tigers into perennial postseason contenders. We are most impressed with how much Dalton progressed as a backcourt asset throughout her prep career, turning her into a true six-rotation asset on the Class A scene. Those skills will translate well to Division I competition.

Let's pivot to one of Dalton's teammates on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 17 Synergy squad. Hagedorn's wide-ranging impact is demonstrated through her excellence at both pin positions. She earned early right-side hitter reps with Omaha Skutt Catholic while playing primarily on the outside for Premier Nebraska. Then, Hagedorn joined [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] on the club side and continued her multi-pin dominance. Her career with the SkyHawks wrapped up on the left side, where Hagedorn showed off the wicked heat that landed her a commitment with Sacred Heart University. No matter which position takes precedence, Hagedorn will be ready for the next level.

Elkhorn South wanted more than just a postseason return in 2024. Ringenberg and the Storm dazzled us en route a runner-up finish and laid the foundation for future breakthroughs. This year's tournament demonstrated the advantage of senior leadership, especially with Ringenberg logging multiple years as Elkhorn South's starting setter. The Nebraska Elite standout carried on a long tradition of Storm excellence at her position and will be remembered as one of this fall's top senior setters.

We're always eager to discuss more setter-hitter hybrids, and Nelsen fits the bill. She exhibited her varied skill set right away when she competed in the state tournament as a Fremont freshman. When Nelsen joined the Millard North roster, she brought her familiar brand of physical, aggressive play. Her setting numbers took off this fall, culminating in one of the best assist-per-set averages in Class A. Nelsen's upward climb gave us a lot to be thankful for in the past few years.

Let's give a shoutout to one of the longest-tenured starting liberos in the Omaha area. Mayer soared past 1,000 career digs this fall and had her best single-season digging output by a large margin. She led the Crusaders with 5.8 digs per set and performed best against the state's most lethal offenses. The Crusaders were a step away from breaking into the tournament behind Mayer's steady platform in the back row. Whoever steps into that role will have big shoes to fill.
