We can talk about positional breakdowns all we want, but NONE of these players have any chance of being recruited without the setters listed below. Here are five different setters from five different clubs that can run an offense at the next level right now.

As part of Pineapple High Performance's 17-1, Sophia is a no-nonsense state champ with aspirations on going big time. Her ball location is second to none on this list, she has impeccable footwork, and defends her position at an above-average level. Also an All-State honoree, Miss Gisslen doesn't do the flashy moves or miracle sets because she doesn't have to. She gets the job done, and her team wins. 'Nuff said.

Keira, like Sophia listed above, is a high-level setter with a no-nonsense attitude and work ethic. A little more physical than Sophia, it makes perfect sense that both of these kids are from the Fort Wayne area---it might be in the culture of volleyball to just do the job, and do the job WELL. Although net defense might be tougher for Keira because of her size, she sets a great right side block, making it a bit easier for her middle to find her. As for running an offense, Keira locates with the best of them and her tempo is very consistent.

From one end of the flashy spectrum to the other, Reese has perfected the art of making the flashy set on every out-of-system pass. The crazy part is that the set itself is (1) always in tempo, and (2) located perfectly. Part of a winning program at Brebeuf, Miss Blanchard's squad has had nominal team success so far this club season, but they hit a rough patch at Bluegrass two weekends ago. Nevertheless, Reese is the quarterback for this offense, and rest assured, continued to make the miracle plays when passing broke down.

Part of the team that earned the National bid at Hoosier Regionals last month, Grace is a little-known setter that has big time skills. Lithe but spritely, Miss Hargis is probably the quickest on this list, and when she gets to the ball, sets an in-tempo quick offense to perfection. I like her footwork a lot---as the shortest on this list, it stands to reason that her feet have to do most of the work, which they do. What people might not see is that Grace makes the setting position in 17 Open look easy. Don't let her size fool you, though. She's more than capable of holding her own when running the offense in a 5-1.

From the shortest to the tallest setter on this list, Kenlee is a transfer from Circle that needed (1) a fresh start, and (2) an opportunity to play for a 1s team. More than capable of doing the latter, Miss Barnard is the most capable of the available setters to go get tight passes and turn them into something for her hitters. On defense, she's tough to deal with at the net, and is consistent with her defensive play on the floor. Overall, Kenlee simply looks the part of Division 1 setter, and it's only a matter of time before the offers start rolling in.
