Breaking Down the Top 11-20 Athletes in the 2028 Ranking

Ranks 11-20 in the class of 2028 bring a unique blend of positions, locations, and teams. Our top-ranked libero is ranked at #11, and then we continue on from there. What stands out to me about this group is how many can play multiple positions at a high level. She makes the toughest aspects of her position look natural. Kendall is very disciplined in her movement. She has great ball control in serve receive, dishes out clean out-of-system sets, picks up scrappy touches in coverage, and digs in deep for hard-driven balls. More than that, she naturally covers a lot of space on the court and has high-level court awareness.     Harper is a pin who can take over a match. Her all-around play is truly impressive. She never misses a beat. She can dominate in the pass to attack game, and her backrow attack is lethal. No matter what role she plays in a game, Harper makes an impact as a leader and athlete. She finds the balance between being an energizer and a competitor.     Jilly is a lefty pin hitter who is masterful to watch on the court. Her shot selection alone is superb, and she can pick apart opposing defenses one swing at a time. Not only can she place balls seemingly at will, but she also has great control over the power and speed she places on the ball. Every time a defender thinks they can read her, they are wrong. Jilly is the epitome of an offensive weapon, and she can execute across the front row for her team.     Alexis brings consistency and grit to the setter position. She is a scrappy defender who will do everything in her power to prevent the ball from touching the ground. Alexis makes gritty plays when necessary, but does her best to control the ball at every turn. She spreads her offense well and isn't afraid to make aggressive choices and set against the grain. Alexis works incredibly hard on the court and plays at a very high level for her age.     Whitney is a springy and lethal pin who gets the job done. She combines so many high-level aspects of being a great pin. She is a high-flying athlete with an explosive approach. Whitney has a keen eye for great shot selection, a powerful armswing with great control over the speed of the ball, and a high volleyball IQ. She is a dynamic player who is an incredibly talented passer and blocker as well. Her all-around play is some of the best in this class, and she is a player to watch.     Aspen brings an amazing level of play to the court. She is aggressive yet has a fairly low error rate; she is powerful yet has great ball control; she is an offensive weapon yet makes a difference on serve receive and defense. Aspen is an all-around player who can terminate both in and out of system and manufacture points. She is 6'0" and already a 6-rotation athlete with great endurance and a competitive mindset. Aspen sets herself apart on the court and is a high-level athlete who is already turning heads at big tournaments.     Bella is a pin who thrives in competitive matches. She is hungry for the ball and wants to take big swings in pressure moments. Her power is impressive, yet it is her hard work and attention to detail in transition that sets her up for success. Bella also puts up a really solid block and makes smart shot decisions. She is a player who can terminate on either pin but has become a huge asset on the right side for her club team this season.     Emma is a standout athlete who isn't afraid to take control on the court. She has great court awareness and reads the game incredibly well. Her passion and competitiveness on the court are apparent, and that directly feeds into her high level of play. Emma is confident and disciplined on the court and has a lightning-fast armswing and explosive approach. She is another pin who can play all six rotations and terminate in both the front and back row. Her all-around play sets her apart, especially her ability to earn points in extended rallies and out-of-system plays.     Brooklyn runs the court like a well-oiled machine. She is smart, savvy, and insanely precise. Brooklyn puts a fast tempo on her sets and feeds her hitters dime sets more often than not. Brooklyn has a high volleyball IQ and has impressed me with her form and decision-making on the court. She knows how to set the game's pace: when to make simple plays and when to push the tempo a bit.     Aubrey is a middle you do not want to leave an open net on. She is absolutely lethal. And even with a block up, she has the tools to swing over and around many opponents. Aubrey is quick and athletic and contributes on both offense and defense. She brings consistency and execution to the middle position. Her high efficiency and discipline out of the middle set her defense up for success behind her.
