For all of the non-18s teams nationwide, club season continues. There are at least two more months of tournaments, practice, intrasquad scrimmages and outdoor training to be had before everyone leaves for their respective GJNCs. Here are two teams from Indiana that have qualified for the open division of GJNCs that have a significant amount of available talent.

The majority of this outstanding roster has already committed to play at the next level, which seems obvious at first glance. But if you look closer, there are a few solid recruits in their own right that can make a difference at the next level. Why not start with the first contact, libero [player_tooltip player_id='562298' first='Cala' last='Haffner']. Already with a state championship trophy on her mantle as the starting libero at Carroll, this FRESHMAN (yes, class of '28) has more than owned the responsibility of wearing the special jersey this season, and she doesn't look like she'll be giving it up any time soon. Ask her to pass half the court, and she will. There is no doubt about her abilities, and all of PHP's success starts with her contacting the first ball over. A couple of attackers for this squad caught my eye for mid-major D1 looks, starting with [player_tooltip player_id='502459' first='Elizabeth' last='Blackburn']. Her ability to turn pass-to-attack into an actual point on the attack sets her apart from some other pin attackers in this class and at her size. She's also capable of playing both pins, with the ability to put in-system and out-of-system balls away regularly. [player_tooltip player_id='505196' first='Ava' last='Felgar'] is an M2 to keep an eye on as well. Her high reach and attack point allow her to tool blocks high, making her points more regular than your average M2. I like the length on her block as well, and she can take up space easily from pin to pin.

It seems as if this team has been together forever, which is a major part of their success. Yet another 17s roster with a majority of the team committed already, there is plenty of talent still available for the next level. [player_tooltip player_id='210188' first='Raegan' last='Miles'] is a capable six-rotation control outside, and will be a nice pickup for someone needing a little of everything on the left pin. She terminates regularly, is serviceable in serve receive, and limits her errors by focusing her attack on smart shots rather than brute strength. [player_tooltip player_id='346405' first='Maezi' last='Snyder'] is a big and physical middle who can play either middle position at a mid-major near you. Strong enough to hit a heavy ball, but light enough on her feet to defend from pin to pin, she is an atypical middle that has size AND foot speed that you don't see too often in Indiana. Finally, the highest flyer on this roster is [player_tooltip player_id='260995' first='Caroline' last='Ward'], the only class of '27 kid listed on this roster. A right side most of the time, she makes gravity look optional and has a whip of an arm that hits a heavy ball, despite her slight build. She's easily jumping past ten feet and can terminate at will---my guess is that she'll be receiving multiple offers this summer when they become available.
