We're just over a month away from the start of USAV Nationals. Club volleyball's top teams and programs will converge upon Dallas for one of the year's most prominent events, and Nebraska athletes will be well-represented--especially in the Class of 2028.

Nebraska's GJNC-qualified teams give us a host of breakout candidates to discuss from this class. As our 2028 coverage rolls on, here are some under-the-radar picks.

Marcinek fits the mold of so many other successful dual-role players in the Club Legacy gym. She's a dynamic athlete who can distribute the offense or become an impactful right-side hitter in the front row. Of course, this Bennington native can also do both during her trip around the rotation. Marcinek and Club Legacy 15 Alpha captured the 15 American title at Show Me, securing the division's only available bid in Kansas City. That's a triumph worthy of a second act in Dallas.

Club Legacy 15 Alpha deserves a deeper dive in this feature, especially after Stockdale's tremendous defensive leadership at the libero position. The Elkhorn freshman was a major contributor to 15 Alpha's championship triumph and helped generate plenty of in-system opportunities for her teammates. Stockdale is also willing to step in and deliver perfect secondary sets when she needs to handle the second contact. 15 American is expected to be a wild, chaotic division in Dallas, but Club Legacy has already established itself as a contender in this age group.

Aurora underclassmen have been generating some buzz lately, so let's add one more to the mix. Luebbe has been a go-to opposite for [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 15 Elite, and the breakthroughs have kept piling up for this emerging team. Qualifier stages and regional bid tournaments have showcased Luebbe's terminal ability and strong blocking skills at the pins. VCN will compete in a stacked 15 National division after climbing the ladder through the Great Plains Region. It's the perfect venue for a breakout performance.

We'll find another [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] contender in the 15 American division. [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 15 Black slugged through the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament and has had multiple noteworthy showings on the qualifier circuit. Wehner has aided that effort in several different ways, but her backcourt defense has been particularly impressive during the late-season stretch. This Malcolm freshman is an instinctive middle-back defender who can deliver digs with tremendous accuracy. 15 Black's transition offense has thrived off of Wehner's positive touches, so expect more of the same at GJNC.

Premier Nebraska 15 Gold will compete in GJNC's 15 USA division after a reallocated bid from the Northern Lights Qualifier. This gives us another chance to watch 15 Gold's deep cast of right-side hitters, and Foley will factor heavily in this equation. The Lincoln East product has a natural approach behind the setter and has expanded her range throughout the 2025 season. Foley knows how to find small seams along the net, even when teams put up a well-formed block in front of her. Distribution and balance will be key as Premier Nebraska sharpens its craft for USAV Nationals.

Once again, Premier Nebraska is going two-deep on its 15s teams at GJNC. 15 Black slides into the 15 Freedom division and has several emerging athletes poised for a Dallas breakout. Galyen has made the most of her on-court rotations this spring and has kept 15 Black's offense flowing in high-pressure situations. She has also exhibited her sharp right-back defense and was a gritty defender at last year's Prep Dig Freshman Showcase. This versatility will come in handy this summer.

Minden has churned out some transformative frontcourt talent lately, and Cederburg may be the next in line. Her South Central NE 15 Black squad took Kansas City by storm and replicated the bid-earning triumph of its 17 Black counterparts. We have fond memories of Cederburg wielding her physicality and power on the Prep Dig Circuit last year. Her momentum has not slowed on the club side, and she's ready to bring her small-town crew to one of the nation's most prominent stages.
