On June 14, I scouted three matches at the Kansas Klassic, an annual high school summer tournament hosted by Seaman.

I scouted three matches and will have four reports over the next three days from the event.

Here is a look at five athletes who stood out in a match between Holton and Jefferson West. In a match won by the Holton Wildcats.

[player_tooltip player_id='480408' first='Tinley' last='Wilson'], 5'10”, OH, Holton, '27

Holton threw their own block party at Seaman High School against Jeff West. At the forefront of Wildcats' dominance at the net was Wilson. She finished the match with four blocks, seven kills, five digs, and three serve receptions. She is ranked No. 2 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027 rankings. Her confidence and leadership on the court continues to grow.

[player_tooltip player_id='553079' first='Rebekah' last='Lassey'], 6'1”, MB, Holton, '27

Lassey was Wilson's primary blocking partner in the match, and the two of them put up a concrete wall. She recorded three blocks in Holton's win. She also added two kills. She has a longer reach than Wilson, is more physical, but not quite as quick. She is ranked No. 38 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. I am going to coin a tag team name for Lassey and Wilson in case they ever give up volleyball to join the WWE Performance Center: “The Masons.”

[player_tooltip player_id='567485' first='Khloe' last='Black'], 5'9”, OH/DS, Holton, '28

Black put on a show like she knew that eyes were watching her. She really stepped up her game from the last time I saw Holton play. She recorded 13 digs, seven serve receptions, and two kills in the win over the Tigers. She appears to be a future floor general for Holton. I was impressed by her quickness and aggressiveness on the court. Black is currently ranked No. 25 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='503697' first='Emmie' last='Dean'], 5'6” OH/DS, Jefferson West, '28 (Pictured Above)

Speaking of aggressive, that might be Dean's middle name. The Jeff West prospect enters her sophomore season and plays each point like it might be her last. She recorded 10 digs, eight serve receptions, and three kills against the Wildcats. I also watched Jeff West's second match of the day, and she registered eight digs, four kills, and two blocks against Seaman. Dean is ranked No. 10 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028. I feel like she is a slam-dunk college prospect, but whether she hits or plays defense will depend on the size of the school. She reminds me of Lansing's [player_tooltip player_id='222091' first='Avery' last='Sands'] in that respect.

[player_tooltip player_id='446318' first='Harriet' last='Dean'], 5'7” S/DS, Jefferson West, '27

If Emmie is the spark plug for the Tigers, then Harriet is the calming influence. She is a quiet leader, who always seems to be in the right place at the right time. She can set, hit, and play outstanding defense. In the opening match against Holton, she recorded six assists, three digs, three serve receptions, one block, and two aces. She is a legit blocking threat. In the match against Seaman, she recorded seven kills, two digs, and one ace.

Both Dean sisters are registered to attend the Pittsburg State Elite Camp on June 16, which I plan to scout.

Stay tuned tomorrow and Monday for two more reports on athletes from the Seaman versus Jeff West match, and more athletes from all three matches I scouted.
