Indiana has been a hotbed for young volleyball talent for some time now, and a group of standout 15-year-olds is keeping that tradition going. These young ladies come from club volleyball powerhouses like Circle City, Munciana and 1st Alliance VBC, and have led their teams to big successes this past club season. Recently named All-Americans, these rising stars are making waves on the national stage with their skill, competitiveness, and love for the game. Discover who they are and why the future of volleyball in Indiana has never looked brighter.

Groninger is absolutely one of the top setting prospects in the state of Indiana overall, and I believe the top prospect in the class of 2028. She earned first team All-American at USAV GJNC in 15 Open (an EXTREMELY talented age group) and from other publications. Charlee is as accurate as they come at this age, an extremely hard worker and competitor, and can handle the pressure of the biggest moments. She proved this in the National semifinals in a hard-fought match against #1 seed TAV that went down to the wire and ended at 32-30. No matter how tight the game became, she spread the ball around well and accurately. I look for Groninger to guide Plainfield all season and be highly sought after when recruiting opens up for 2028s in June 2026.

Evelyn is playing up in the 15 Open Division for 1st Alliance VBC as she is just an incoming freshman in the class of 2029. She has made quite the name for herself over the last year, both by helping her team qualify for USAV Open Nationals at the Windy City Qualifier and being selected for the USAV NTDP. Shirk is a skilled force in multiple aspects of the game including, setting, attacking and blocking. My favorite thing about her as a player is her absolute LOVE for the game, which is going to take her so far in this sport. Evelyn brings a competitive edge and talented physicality to any team she plays on and will certainly add a ton to La Porte this fall season - look for her to continue to rack up the accolades as she continues on to high school.

Most likely the top MB prospect in Indiana for the class of 2028 right now, Powell brings the classic Munciana speed, confidence and fierce competitive nature to the court every time she plays. She helped lead her team to a second-place finish at AAU Open Nationals this club season, where she earned All American honors, as well as first team from other publications. She can run any route in the middle, either in front of the setter or behind, including an insane post route. I look for her to lead Southern Wells all season in multiple categories, as well as be the go-to player when they need to score or side out. Keep your eyes on Powell; it's going to be an exciting next year in terms of recruiting!

You would be hard pressed to find a more scrappy, competitive and driven libero in the state of Indiana than Hamood. Besides the insanely talented [player_tooltip player_id='562298' first='Cala' last='Haffner'], Stella is the tippy-tops in the state of Indiana for DS's in the class of '28. She brings a huge confidence boost to the floor for her team when she plays, as well as being the needed energy leader you expect from a high class libero; there is never a ball that Stella isn't willing to get. Avon should be solid this season and I expect Hamood to be a LARGE part of that at the libero position. As we get closer to June 15, 2026, look for this young defensive player and all-American to get a LOT of interest from high level D1 programs.

After securing first team all-America honors at USAV GJNC Open Nationals and from other publications, Utterback has cemented herself as one of the top prospects in the state of Indiana and the best OH currently in the class of 2028. She was the go-to player all year for the #3 team in the country, Circle City, and could still dominate even when other teams began to catch on. Audrey is a 6 rotation OH who can do it all: pass, defend, attack (front and back row), block AND serve tough, all while seemingly staying calm and collected in the most competitive of matches. Look for her and Groninger to be a dynamic duo at Plainfield and continue to rack up their team and personal honors over the next season.

The fourth and final player to earn all-American honors from the Circle City squad that finished third in the nation is Smith, a quick transitioning and excellent off-one-foot hitter who really showed that she excels in pressure situations. Like her teammates she was confident and calm in their marathon national semifinal match against TAV in Dallas that went to 32-30. Being "undersized" for a high-level middle, Smith finds a way to succeed against middles of any size, including hitting from anywhere along the net or finding seams/holes in the block that she can beat. I look for her to repeat as all-state and all-Midwest this fall season, as well as lead her Indy Genesis homeschool team against some serious competition at Nationals this fall.

Yep, you read that right, Blair is making the move to Circle City to join the team that just finished top 3 in the country, which will allow her to compete against the top competition in the nation. Jordyn has been earning accolades all season including being selected for the USAV National Training and Development Program (NTDP), and now being selected as a 15s all-American. I am most excited to see how Jordyn takes on a bigger role at Westfield, alongside another MB standout and Louisville commit, [player_tooltip player_id='443848' first='Carsyn' last='Comer']. Blair is a hardworking, dedicated athlete who certainly has the makings and physicality of a high level D1 recruit, and I expect her to continue making headlines throughout the high school and club seasons.

Last, but not least, rounding out the all-American selections from Munciana this past club season is Terry, a highly accurate setter who is able to put the ball just about anywhere, whether she is in system or out. One thing that really stands out to me about Paislee, is her willingness to push the ball to her middles when she is off the net. This young setter has attended some great college camps this summer and is certainly on a lot of D1 programs' radars after this past club season. Delta will be in good hands with Terry running the offense and should be able to be very efficient attacking with her spreading the ball around often and accurately.
