Stengel has all the skills you’d expect from a Nebraska Juniors outside hitter. She has impeccable footwork, tremendous hops, and a knack for scoring in tough situations. Showcases are a perfect venue to exhibit these strengths, and Stengel has made her name known at multiple Prep Dig Circuit stops. We’re privileged to welcome Stengel back for another outing.

All-showcase teams need an athlete who can do a little of everything in any rotation. Stengel is our “utility” selection for this feature after she exhibited outstanding range around the dial during team drills. This Nebraska Juniors standout brought the same eagerness and energy to her backcourt defense as she did to her attacking opportunities along the net. Stengel’s willingness to command any role has set her up for a sophomore surge at Lincoln Northeast.

We’ve been impressed by Stengel’s late-season surge, and she put up another gem with Nebraska Juniors 15 Black at AAU Nationals. This is another prototypical ‘L2’ who can do almost anything you could ask of a left-side attacker. Stengel has an uncanny ability to tool off the block and turn an out-of-system situation into a routine kill. Our recruiting radar for Lincoln-area 2028s keeps expanding.

Nebraska Juniors gets on the board with one of its most versatile pin hitters. Stengel exhibited her pass-to-attack strength at last year’s showcases, paving the way for a similar impact with Nebraska Juniors 15 Black. This Lincoln North Star freshman has a knack for finding open seams and isn’t afraid to use opposing hands to her advantage. Lincoln-area athletes are always welcome at our La Vista showcases.

We’ve caught up with Stengel this spring after she appeared at one of our Prep Dig Circuit events in 2024. She brings a dose of firepower to the Nebraska Juniors 15 Black frontcourt, but that’s not the full extent of Stengel’s on-court influence. Her ball control captured our attention at last year’s showcase, and Stengel remains a stout passer in the Nebraska Juniors gym. The Lincoln area is in good hands with athletes like Stengel entering the spotlight.
