2027 Rankings Update- Middles in the Spotlight

The prospects range from 5'9" uber athletes to 6'3" blocking machines and everything in between. She has a relaxed platform and nice hands defensively- not something you always see in a tall, young middle. Sheron is at her best as a blocker, with a decisive press and long strides when she has to close the block. She pressed hard at the net on the block and racked up scoring blocks in the postseason for SIVBC. Her basketball and softball talents translate nicely to the volleyball court- she gets off the floor quickly, particularly as a blocker. She can run a smooth slide behind her setter, and Williams is a solid defender and server when she has the chance to play in the back row. Young players with size typically hit a point where things click, and the Lynnwood prospect was there in the back half of her campaign. Williams has a high contact point and can turn the ball around the block at a vicious angle. She was smartly throwing down jousts and overpasses, strong with two hands, and handled second-ball chances at the net with higher confidence.
