Elite Liberos to Track at the Katy-Cypress Tournament

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school volleyball season has just started in Texas and weekday evenings in every corner of the Lone Star State are now filled with exciting matches, where the most talented prospects of the state will be able to compete and show what they are about.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The first weeks of the new season are typically filled with tournaments, and one of the biggest and most competitive of them is set to take place this week. The Katy-Cypress Tournament reunites the top teams from two of the most competitive districts in the Houston area and beyond, attracting high school programs from other regions, such as Austin and San Antonio.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This year's edition of the tournament will feature as many as 48 varsity programs, which will compete between Thursday and Saturday in eight high school campuses in the area. Prep Dig Texas will be on-site following the action, but before it starts, we'd like to shortlist some players who will be in action in the tournament who have tremendous potential. A senior, she's one of the pillars of the team and plays a very important role in their playing system by leading their serve-receive efforts and ensuring College Station are always in system. Nash also comes up big on defense, displaying superior reflexes to get to balls outside of her zone and tremendous ball control to handle swings. A senior, she's established herself as one of the top liberos in the Houston area during her high school and club career and is regarded as one of the top passers in her age group, which makes her cover a large area of the court in serve-receive. Moszkowicz reads the game extremely well, and that shows when she plays defense, as it seems she's always one step ahead of everyone else on the court. A senior, she has superior technical skills and her game is built upon them, which makes of her a very reliable libero. Tan is a tall libero and uses her length to get to the ball on the backcourt, but is also very agile and capable of changing directions very efficiently when playing defense. One of the best liberos in the state, she's one of the few players in the position who can be a game-changer on the court. Thedford's incredible defensive game makes it very difficult for opponents to score on her. She's not only highly technical and intelligent, but also plays with tremendous grit and determination. A key player in their back-to-back state titles, she returns as a senior having an even more important role with the team. A serve-receive specialist, she's critical to keep the Lady Grizzlies in system and steps up to the task, handling the serves that find her with tremendous efficiency. Reece is also an elite defender, who takes her game to an incredibly high level when she gets into a good defensive rhythm.
