I have watched a lot of volleyball in my time and I have never been quite as impressed as I was this weekend at the Up Next: Texas event. In this article we will cover the youngest of the athletes at this event, those graduating in 2032. They were really impressive, to say the least of my perceptions of their abilities. They look years ahead of most athletes I see at their age group. Let's break it down and talk about the athletes from the class of 2032.

Rowan is a 5'3" setter from Grapevine, class of 2032. Rowan looks great in the back court playing defensively and sets well also. She has a great platform, soft hands, and can really share the ball with her different hitters well. She looks great competing on the court with much bigger and older athletes. She can definitely hold her own and will only be developing more and better in the coming years before high school and looks ready for that upper level of play.

[player_tooltip player_id='846704' first='Arielle' last='Piccirillo']

Piccirillo is a 5' defensive specialist from Lake Travis, class of 2032. Piccirillo is a calm and consistent presence on the court. She has a great platform, excellent footwork, and once she warmed up played superb at the event. She dives, she rolls, she chases and saves all kinds of balls. She does not let the ball hit the ground and makes her receptions a playable ball for the setter. She is a super fast player and is always under the ball. Nicely done at the Up Next event!

[player_tooltip player_id='849591' first='Eliana' last='Rivera']

Rivera is a 4'11" setter from Ursuline Academy of Dallas, class of 2032. Solid as a rock describes this athlete to perfection. She does not waver and uses her considerable skills to send the ball to the same spot for the setter every time. One of the coolest things to watch with an event like this is how these super young athletes handle the drills. It is like watching them develop in real time. Rivera learns super fast and seemed comfortable from the jump at this event. She has an awesome platform, and great footwork that she uses to set herself up for success when receiving the ball or digging up a hard hit killer ball. She will be even more amazing as she grows and matures over the next couple of years before high school. She is going to hit the floor running when she reaches the high school level of play.

[player_tooltip player_id='875920' first='Nathalia' last='Pagan']

Pagan is a 5'7" outside hitter from Harker Heights, class of 2032. Definitely a standout player, Pagan is log and lean and a killing machine. She has great footwork and an awesome platform. She worked really hard at the event and performed years ahead of her time. She looks like she could be ready to play high school volleyball tomorrow. She is a very impressive athlete and outplayed some older and more experienced players at this event.

[player_tooltip player_id='877314' first='Kaiyah' last='Lewis']

Lewis is a 5'5" outside hitter from Duncanville, class of 2032. Lewis is super athletic and aggressive at the net. She is great defensively and has amazing footwork. She looks ready to play against the older and more experienced athletes I assume are on the court today as well. She is really working years ahead of what should be her current physical and mental abilities and looks fantastic doing it. She is a great teammate and has an attitude to match those skills. Superb athlete!

[player_tooltip player_id='878220' first='Gianna' last='Magana']

[player_tooltip player_id='878220' first='Gianna' last='Magana'], class of 2032.

Magana is a 4'9" defensive specialist from Brennan, class of 2032. This athlete does not let the ball drop. She has amazing footwork and is light years ahead of her age group's normal level of play. I cannot wait to see how this athlete develops in the coming years and I bet she becomes even more amazing than she already is at this time. She has a great platform, quick feet, and she is very aware of where she is sending the ball. She can set as well as play defensively. She is an amazing athlete with such intent focus that she is definitely going to go far in this sport.
