BBE Takes Lead of the Central MN Conference

Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars (5-0) pulled out a win after four close sets against the Royalton Royals (5-1) taking their lead in the conference. The Jaguars' offense and defense were strong forces making it hard to the Royals to score and put a stop to. BBE is a well oiled machine the has the opportunity to compete well during playoffs with their outstanding players.    Lieser's fast feet and ability to read the opponents offense, puts her in position to get dig after dig. She truly shines in the back of the court with her footwork and platform control that allows her to place the ball right on the setters forehead. In serve receive she is quick to call the ball and can take away speed allowing for the setter to be in a good location to run the offense. Overall, Lieser would make an incredible addition to any collegiate team.     Roering is fast on the court. She transitions quickly off the net and approaches to the ball allowing herself to swing high and over the block. She is a hard force to stop as she has the ability to play around the defense and strategically place the ball in locations that are widely open. Roering is skilled at running multiple routes that confuses the blockers and gives her an open shot that the defense struggles to defend. Blocking, she has solid footwork getting her to the pin or middle quickly to set the block right in front of the hitter. As a sophomore, Roering is a player to watch in many seasons to come.     Fischer hit a career high last night as she celebrated her 1,000 career kill, and with the skill that she demonstrates on the court, it is not surprising. Fisher has a high, hard, and deep swing that is difficult to defend. She approaches quickly to the ball and finds an empty place to put it down. Her communication and positivity on the court help propel her team forward for every point. She is a dedicated blocker and accumulates many stops throughout sets. Defensively she is always ready to play a freeball, tip, downball, or serve. Fischer's platform control and footwork help enforce a controlled play to run a fast offense.     Dingmann's solid block stops opponents from from making big plays. Her fast feet allow her to move briskly to the pins and create a big and strong block with her teammates creating many useful touches and stops. She transitions quickly off the net allowing her to play any type of ball the setter receives. Her ability to run multiple routes allows her to catch the opposing defense off guard and score. Her communication with her setter provides the opportunity for her to run routes on off balls and put herself in the position to swing.     Fischer's stamina is outstanding as she runs a 5-1 rotation as a setter without showing any signs of fatigue. Throughout the match, her sets continue to be strategically placed for each hitter to help them be successful. In the back row, she never shies away from playing defense and has great control on the ball allowing for an aggressive out of system play to be made. Her hustle allows her to get to the net, square her hips, and perfectly set the ball off of her forehead while staying off the net. As a jump setter, Fischer sets the ball quickly allowing her offense to outplay the opponents.
