Kentucky weekly wrap up still holds plentiful talent

As we move into post regular season play we shine the light on the depth of developing talent that Kentucky holds and look at some accomplished athletes who have stood the test of time! We saw LCA JV take the City Tournament, Dunbar JV upset top 10 St Henry in a mid week match, and lots of athletes who've continued to put forth their best effort as we wind down regular season play! We look forward to the upcoming next weeks!    Violet is a weapon for her team! With her size and athleticism, it is hard to dismiss her big presence on the court! Violet can unleash an explosive swing from a huge attack that brings the back row to their knees! She has a huge vertical that comes from big powerful strides, a quick strong release with perfect contact and trajectory that gives her a cannon of a kill. She will absolutely destroy an overpass and can get some air attacking from the backrow to rack up points with perfect mechanics! She can dial it back for a stealthy well-placed tip, digs extremely well for her stature, and shows excellent court IQ and control placing the ball down the line. Violet has also honed an equally impressive hard serve that opponents struggle to return as part of her arsenal and provides a good block on the front line with excellent timing and technique. We loved watching her play, she fits at the varsity level as a sophomore, she is a huge gamechanger on the court!     Cassidy is climbing the ladder and fast! Having laid eyes on Cassidy a lot we love to see the development in her play, she has been working hard and her rewards are apparent. On the pin she can produce a beautiful cross court kill that puts some notches on her tool belt. With an impressive attack she is clutch with this play and has honed it perfectly. But Cassidy also provide a good presence at the net with nice well timed blocks, solo or in tandem and provides good cover to her teammates following the play with good court IQ. She is putting her best foot forward gaining confidence and prowess with her play and we love to see it! Keep tabs on this one!     A crafty lefty Allie brings a lot to the table as a setter. While we have seen Allie in different roles she has certainly made a great claim on this role with some very nice plays and big efforts! We love the diversity Allie holds setting and being able to strike a kill from the pin with a sweet left handed swing! Allie has stepped up big time to make her presence felt as a setter with crafty plays showing great court IQ and mixing up her sets to involve the whole front line to keep the opposition on their toes, and it works. She has accurate sets, covers well and play with great intensity and fast reflexes. She can serve up aces and runs the court well. The diversity in her play is a huge asset along with her skill set, and effort. She is a crafty skilled multi talented player!     Emily has that swagger, and the skills to back it up! A pillar of her team she is an impressive player. She shows confidence and calmness on the court and is the go to player, for good reason. She can make plays happen and steps up to the occasion with solid blocking and fast transitions off the net into attack mode. She has a powerful swing that she can release tight from the net or she will take a run up for a lethal attack. She has quick reflexes to get the ball up if blocked and comes right back swinging yelling out to get it done, and does! We love to see her competitiveness but respectful play as she is a machine that racks up many points! She is the consummate player with excellent enthusiasm supporting her teammates. Not enough words!     Madelyn has all the makings of an athlete that can take it to the next level. She has consistent smooth passes that are accurate and are seamless to the pins that look effortless. Madelyn has excellent judgement with great foresight to think out the play and set to the best player for a successful run. She is equally as good providing a lofty serve or a fast chute and can do a no tell dump for the point. She digs well on the front row moving with great agility to get the ball into play with a clam demeanor and excellent composure! Keipert can also swing nicely with a fluid left handed attack with great ball control and placement, adding so much dimension as a setter. She provides a good block and has great timing on her transitions to and off the net. She makes smart plays and uses her pins and middles effectively never becoming predictable. She shows great enthusiasm on the court for her teammates and brings her A game! She will get where she wants to go, no doubt!
