<p>This past weekend over 20 teams played at the infamous and yearly West Linn High School tournament in Portland, Oregon, fighting hard to win games against teams outside of their conference and rise in their state rankings. Although every player had a great tournament day, here are the setters that showed up and stood out the most:</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Doel, a sophomore for West Linn, has hoppy and bouncy fingers, releasing the ball fast to her hitters. She pushes the ball to her pins from anywhere on the court and runs her offense effectively. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">McGregor, a junior for Valley Catholic, is an active setter with great hands. She plays well at the net, pushing balls to her pins and running a fast offense. You can tell she trusts her hitters by the way she sets them, on or off the net. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Green, a senior for Mountainside, works her offense in a calm and composed manner. She has fast fingers, moving swiftly to the ball and launching her sets to her most available and strong hitters. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Gargurevich, a senior setter for Roseburg, makes every hard attempt to set her offense. She has bouncy fingers, jump setting and launching balls to her pins. She transitions to the net fast and works hard to always get her hands on the ball. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Westermeyer, a sophomore for Oregon City, reads the ball well as a setter. She always gets her hands on the ball no matter where she is on the court. She runs her offense fast, setting even on tight passes with one hand, proving the she is a top recruit for her class. </p>

She often reverses the flow of the ball to keep opposing players on their toes, and setting up a fast paced tempo. Her setting location is on-point, with her jump float serves scoring points for her in the backrow. </p>
