For the Hawley Nuggets, all three were on full display in Saturday's Class AA Minnesota State Championship. Down two sets to none against a fired-up Chatfield squad, Hawley rallied to pull off a dramatic reverse sweep (20–25, 21–25, 25–17, 25–16, 15–8), capturing their second straight state title and stamping their legacy as one of the premier programs in Minnesota volleyball.   What began as a frustrating start turned into a masterclass in leadership and composure. The Nuggets didn't panic — they regrouped, adjusted, and slowly turned the tide behind their unshakable seniors and fearless defense.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Slow Start, Strong Response</h3>   The first two sets were anything but comfortable for Hawley. Chatfield came out aggressive from the service line, pushing Hawley out of system and forcing uncharacteristic errors. But even in the early struggles, there was no sign of panic — just quiet determination.   Message between sets was simple: “Play our game. Stay disciplined. Trust the process.”   And that's exactly what they did.   The turnaround started with the steady hand of senior setter [player_tooltip player_id='731154' first='Sella' last='Fleming'], who ran a masterful offense, finishing with 41 assists. Fleming's ability to find her hitters in rhythm and her poise under pressure were the backbone of Hawley's comeback. The junior outside hitter brought energy, confidence, and fire that lifted the entire team.   Vetter tallied 15 kills and 22 digs, but her impact went beyond the stat sheet. She attacked fearlessly from the left pin, mixing high hands and sharp angles, and passed nails in serve-receive when Hawley needed stability. Junior Josie Schenck added 13 digs, while Mckenna Walker — who also contributed 7 kills — played six rotations with unmatched focus and energy, adding 14 digs of her own.   By the fifth set, Hawley's defense was dictating tempo.
