Newark Catholic completed an unbeaten season (27-0) as Harrington (*pictured) had a complete match to wrap up her varsity career for the Green Wave. At 6'1, she has such great tools that will certainly transfer well to the next level when she joins a great DI program at Dayton. In the Green Wave's convincing 3-0 win over St. Henry to claim the Division VI crown, Harrington delivered her second triple-double effort at the state tournament with team highs of 10 kills and 20 digs to go along with 12 assists. A 2nd team all-Ohio honoree, she was key to Newark Catholic's win over then defending state champion New Bremen as the Green Wave took down the Cardinals in a five-set reverse sweep thriller. In that win, Harrington's stat line included 17 assists and team highs of 15 kills and 12 digs as the Green Wave, ranked #3, took down the top-two ranked Ohio teams in DVI to land atop the podium.

Garrett provided a terrific individual effort in Mentor's 3-1 win over Oletangy Orange to help her team advance to the DI state title match. An aggressive and confident attacker, she produced a big double-double effort with a team high 18 kills while picking up 11 digs. Offensively, she produced on a .333 efficiency with only three errors on 45 swings. She's a versatile player that can contribute in all areas of the game. Her lefty arm swing will be key in Mentor's match against the defending champs. Also reaching double figure kills in the Cardinals' win was [player_tooltip player_id='403537' first='Kayden' last='McKinney'] with 15 kills as Addi Keeper led with 23 assists.

Avon dismantled Magnificat with a 3-0 victory to advance to the DII state finals as Brediger contributed a match high 20 digs. She was instrumental in slowing down a high potential offense while helping to put the Eagles' offense into good situations to score. She has been playing some of her best ball during the playoffs as the sophomore's quickness allows her to create good range and pursuit of the ball. Avon had three attackers in double figure kills with good balance. Lily Hamilton dished a team high 22 assists while earning 12 kills as senior [player_tooltip player_id='401341' first='Londyn' last='Stone'] led with 15 kills. [player_tooltip player_id='728725' first='Bethany' last='Sherwood'] earned 10 kills to go with four blocks. Avon will face Anthony Wayne on Sunday for the title. This should be a fun one.

With 50 assists in the Panthers' gutsy five-set win over Pleasant in the DV state semifinals, Burkhart showed why she is New Lexington's all-time assists leader as she has shattered the previous school record. With five attackers earning between six and 15 kills in the win, Burkhart was instrumental in developing their offensive balance, a signature of their team effort all season. A senior-laden team, this group is poised to earn a title given their experience and collective team effort. Their offensive leaders on Saturday included three arms in double figures led by [player_tooltip player_id='524611' first='Chloe' last='Dick'] with 15 kills. Joining her were sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='840106' first='Ava' last='Snedeker'] and senior [player_tooltip player_id='815774' first='Lena' last='Finck'] with 13 and 12 kills respectively. Senor Gracie Newton led the Panthers with 24 digs. New Lexington will take on Lake Catholic in the title match.
