2029 Names to Know for Club Season

At the PrepDig Exposure Tour we got to see some of the best the 2029 class had to offer. As a fan we wanted to let you know some names you really need to get out to and see this club season! There girls not only stood out on Sunday, but have stood out through their club seasons prior to this and during school season this past year. All these girls are top level players who continually have shown out throughout their seasons as a player.   Here are some girls that I would highly encourage you to get out and watch this season as they are some of the best from our event on Sunday. You should see all these girls in our rankings coming out next week for the class of 2029!   Here is some names to know!    Mikella during individual and game play was a fun one to watch because of how effortlessly she made everything seem. She was always in the right position, passing great balls, and taking the right swing to the correct place. Her form and technique was next level for someone so young and she really made it look easy and smooth with everything she did.   She also did well with her serve receive and defense, keeping her team in system during game play. She has some explosive lateral movement that allows her to get into the right position and transition to be an offensive force as well after the dig. She make great contact and passes to the target with ease each and every time both in defense and serve receive. Her footwork also allows her to transition well both on defense but also after passing to get into a offensive position to hit. Being able to move and transition between defense and offense is a tough skill to teach but Mikella does it so well and with ease.   Mikella is someone who is a valuable asset in both offensive and defensive phases of the game as she can do so many different things. We see her as a top level player in the class of 2029 and someone who is going to impress some people as the year goes on for club.     Kendall is one of the setters to get out to and watch this season during the club season as she runs the position to high and efficient level. Kendall is someone who sets with a clean release and strong ball control each and every set; while delivering tempo to run a fast offense.   Kendall is a setter who can move very fast and always seems to get her hands on the ball. Doesn't matter if the pass wasn't perfect, Kendall seems to always be getting her feet to the ball and making good tempo sets to her hitters during game play. She also is able to make the tough set, not solely relying on what is easy and making the defense stay home that much longer. On top of her high level setting, Kendall is also someone who can play great defense and reads hitters so well in her movement to get to the ball. Not many setters can play high level defense but she is an exception to this as she routinely dug hard driven down balls and got the ball up in a perfect spot for a teammate to execute the offense.   This Omni 15 team will have a lot of talent, and has some standout individuals that attended our exposure tour, but Kendall really stood out in terms of her ability to connect with all hitters in induvial drills, along with being able to run a fast offense in game play. She is someone who projects well as she gets older and the ceiling is high for her. I would encourage if you have a young daughter who wants to be a setter, Kendall is the perfect example of who they should watch at a young age!     If you are looking for someone who can shut down some big time hitters and provide some pop on the pin, I give you [player_tooltip player_id='885082' first='K'Lei' last='Noah']! All throughout the day she was shutting down big time hitters on the pin with her reach and press over the net. She has a physical presence that is hard to teach at a young age, and she was never intimidated by whoever was on the other side.   Her offensive game was also top notch, as she was able to beat double blocks all throughout the event and teams had very little success slowing her down. She is someone who can get up above the block, and someone is strong enough to go through the block when needed. She can hit those high hands and also beat them through the seam so she is able to take what is given to her. Another impressive thing about her offensive game was she didn't just swing to swing, if the opening was there for her to tip, she took it. She demonstrated a high volleyball IQ throughout the event on the offensive end, taking the points when they were given to her.   K'Lei is someone who can project to a high level for multiple positions, she was someone who played RS at the event but can also play middle to a high level as well. As a coach and scout we love when athletes can do multiple things and to a high level and K'Lei is someone who has the athletic ability to do a lot for a team. You all need to get out to watch her in action this season!     When it came to middle blockers at the event, one my personal favorites to watch was Mia. I would highly encourage you to get out and watch her at a tournament this season and you will see a middle who is explosive, powerful, and just a force at the net.   On the blocking front Mia reads hitters effectively and closes blocks with urgency as she can go pin to pin with ease. She is also physical enough to take middles one on one out of the middle and get good blocks on opposing middles at will. She easily gets her hands over the net, and takes up a lot of space with her ability to press over the net. The most impressive part isn't how well of a blocker she is but how well of an offensive weapon she is and will continue to be as she gets older. She has a high impact swing as a 2029 and will beat one on one blocks with ease as she punishes the ball. She is able to run multiple fast offensive options and seemed to connect well with any setter that was given to her. She can also hit from the pin in serve receive, giving her setters the option to run different things and maintain a high level offense, always keeping the other team on their toes.   Mia is a high level middle who projects to be a big time threat come club season. She plays offense at a high level and can take away offensive threats on the other side with her physical ability at the net. We see Mia as not only a standout at this event, but someone who will stand out for the class of 2029 and someone you need to know.     Currently the top libero in the class of 2029, Kaitlyn is in a class above the rest when it comes to playing the position. If you are looking for someone who does everything a coach wants in a libero, look no further then Kaitlyn.   Kaitlyn has what I would call strong defensive instincts and can see things before they are happening and get to a position with ease without leaving her feet. Her footwork is elite and add in her quick reaction time, you get someone who is always getting to the ball and keeping her team in system with high level touches. Serving her is a mistake and she continually passed over a 2.5 throughout the event to help keep the team in system. I don't see many teams challenging the high level play of Kaitlyn by serving her as she passes so well and anticipates where the serve is going before it happens.   There were a lot of liberos at the event this last weekend, however Kaitlyn was by far the standout from her class and maybe for the whole event. She is someone who plays the game at a high level and routinely made hard plays look easy. She is the type of player I would take on my team in a heartbeat and someone we should all get to watch this club season.     Kami is someone you will need to go watch as she is someone who could do it all at the event. Powerful arm swing-check... passing dimes in serve receive- check... hard driven float serve-check... the true definition of a 6 rotational pin who can do it all for her team.   Kami is a strong hitter with excellent power on attacks, especially on high balls and back-row attacks and not just in system balls. When she is in system good luck slowing her down as she has a heavy swing and is able to go through the block as well as being smart enough to go around a block as well. She can also throw in some off speed shots as well. In terms of her passing she is also a high level passer with both her defense and serve receive. She passes with great form almost every time and when she does get her arms and feet to the ball she gets it to the setter and in system more often then not. She is a true definition of an all around hitter for a pin.   Kami is a complete, well-rounded hitter with the ability to impact the game in multiple ways. She is not only an offensive threat but she has an all around game in defense, serving, and serve receive. She is a true 6 rotational pin hitter who you need to get out and see at a tournament this season.     Rylee is one of those girls who can do it all, and is a coaches dream with how well she can play two different high importance positions. If you are a fan and come out to watch Rylee, you not only are you getting a top level setter who could run a 5-1 on her own, you also are getting a terminator when it comes to offense.   On the hitting side you have someone who is dynamic and aggressive and she consistently applies pressure on the opposing defense with her speed, placement, and court IQ to hit the open spot. She could fully transition to a pin hitter and not miss a step as she has a great arm swing and a lot of power behind the ball. She transitions so well, and loads to a great position every time to get the most behind her swing. As for her setting she not only can fun a fast offense and get the the ball perfectly to where she needs to each time, she is also a threat with her offensive game as well. She dumps so well and disguises it to a point you can't tell when it is coming. She is very capable of running a high level offense and being the number 1 offensive threat on offensive as well.   Rylee is a standout volleyball player and who could be ranked in the class of 2029 for two different positions if we were able to do that. She is a top level player who can do a lot for her team and someone we will be checking out throughout the season to see her top level play.     [player_tooltip player_id='789384' first='Chloe' last='Johnson'] is a name to watch this club season as she did extremely well in individual and team drills throughout the event on Sunday. I was impressed with her ability to put the ball where she wanted to in individual drills, connecting with her hitters on multiple occasions whether it was fast or a tempo set. Even when she was a bit out of system she was able to put the ball in a very high level position for her hitters.   On the other side of the coin, she able to do a lot more over just setting at a high level. She is also someone who plays very good defense and can serve well to keep another team out of system. She can do all 3 phases of the game and at a high level. She can serve, play defense, and run a high level offense. She is also fun to watch as she plays with a lot of energy and passion which is always a scouts favorite thing to see.   Chloe is a complete setter who can effectively control the tempo and flow of the match and demonstrated that by standing out with all these high level players. She is someone who is a high-ceiling athlete with excellent potential at the next level as she continues to develop over the next 4 years. I would not be surprised to see her shoot up the rankings over the course of the next few years.
