Expert Analysis
Anthony Jones | Prep Dig Scout
K’Lei is a dominate player in her own right and should really take off this school season. She has had a successful Freshman campaign both in school and club and is only going to get better with age in the coming season. For starters she has excellent length and athleticism, allowing her to play above the net and attack at a high contact point, which renders a lot of blockers useless. She has a physical arm swing and has shown the ability to score through, over, and around blockers. She can create matchup problems with her combination of size, reach, and offensive confidence as she hits from all over the floor. She is a middle, right side, outside, shoot make her a libero I bet she could figure it out and do it well.
Having a player who can bring a lot to the team with just one area of their game says a lot but K’Lei also does well with her defense at the net. She might score just as many points with her offensive game as she does with her defensive game as well. She is high up on the net, routinely taking away hitters best angles and shutting down the other teams better hitters. K’Lei is a high-ceiling pin attacker with the physical tools to become a dominant front-row scorer and a cornerstone offensive piece as she progresses through high school and club competition this season. She is for sure a name to know as we head into the fall season.

brings presence and personality to the court. She points to her blocking and attacking as her strongest skills, emphasizing the energy they create for her team. That spark is a defining part of her identity. K’Lei plays six rotations and is focused on improving her back-row attacks and defense to round out her game. Her goals for the season include becoming a consistent passer, hitter, and blocker while helping her team earn a bid to Nationals. What stands out most is how intentional she is about team connection. She prides herself on being the spark, keeping morale high, hyping teammates after big swings, and helping the group reset after tough rallies, all while competing hard.

! All throughout the day she was shutting down big time hitters on the pin with her reach and press over the net. She has a physical presence that is hard to teach at a young age, and she was never intimidated by whoever was on the other side.
Her offensive game was also top notch, as she was able to beat double blocks all throughout the event and teams had very little success slowing her down. She is someone who can get up above the block, and someone is strong enough to go through the block when needed. She can hit those high hands and also beat them through the seam so she is able to take what is given to her. Another impressive thing about her offensive game was she didn’t just swing to swing, if the opening was there for her to tip, she took it. She demonstrated a high volleyball IQ throughout the event on the offensive end, taking the points when they were given to her.
K’Lei is someone who can project to a high level for multiple positions, she was someone who played RS at the event but can also play middle to a high level as well. As a coach and scout we love when athletes can do multiple things and to a high level and K’Lei is someone who has the athletic ability to do a lot for a team. You all need to get out to watch her in action this season!

is making a statement in her debut high school season, emerging as one of the most impactful freshmen in Arizona volleyball. A key contributor for the Basha Bears, K’Lei has already racked up an impressive 41 blocks, leading all freshmen in the state in that category. Competing in Arizona’s highly competitive 6A division, she consistently holds her own against some of the top outside hitters in the state—never backing down, never missing a beat despite her young age.
But K’Lei’s dominance doesn’t stop at the net. With 97 kills to her name, she’s proving to be a dual threat on the right side—offensively powerful and defensively sound. Her off-blocker defense is outstanding; she’s quick to the floor, unafraid to get scrappy, and always locked in. She brings energy and consistency on every play, showing maturity and skill far beyond her years.

is just getting started, and if her freshman season is any indication, her volleyball future is exceptionally bright. We can’t wait to watch her career continue to soar.
