We're spending the week celebrating the Indiana-based teams that won their divisions at Central Zones this past Saturday. No, it didn't go the previously-scheduled two days because of Mother Nature. That being said, there was still plenty of amazing volleyball to be found at the Indiana Convention Center all day, meaning there was plenty of celebrating to go around. The players listed here didn't drop a set all day to the likes of 1st Alliance, NIVA, Sky High and Circle City, an impressive run for just one day of play. Here are the uncommitted athletes from the 17 Open champs of CZ—-Pineapple HP 17 Black.

Capable of running a 5-1 offense on her own, Braelynn comes from a long line of solid volleyball training, both at the high school and club levels. Now, in her second season with PHP, Braelynn has really matured to the point of being able to do what most setters at the collegiate level do for granted. Does she have some training left to do? Of course. But after the success her offense had at CZ this past weekend, it's obvious that her improvement is a big part of the squad's rise to the top of Indiana club volleyball in the 17s age division.

Small but mighty, Makayla is yet another that has solid training in both the fall and the spring. She even got poached from the clutches of Munciana—-whose main club is located in Yorktown. Quick, compact and explosive, Makayla is a prime example of a six-rotation outside that will be massively successful at a small college in the fall of ‘27. Her ability to pass-to-attack at an elite level is her calling card, and will be a main factor in her recruitment moving forward for the remainder of her club and high school career.

Caya is a next-level M2 in the making. With arms that are longer than a six-footer should have, she's effective on sets away from and in front of the setter to maximize her length and height. Always available to attack because of her quick transition, Caya's one of the rare “bigs” that actually PLAYS big. Solid and disciplined on the block and adding a high attack point on offense, Miss Nelson will be a nice addition for a school looking for an M2 of the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='909075' first='Rhianna' last='Wallace'] Porter is the springiest kid on this team. Already well north of 10' in her attack touch (some publications have her at 10'3”!), she's far and away the highest jumper on this squad. The leg drive and explosiveness is second to none with her, and she can play either middle or right side, depending on what's needed for the roster she appears on. I initially had her ranking at 200 because I didn't see much of her during the fall. This is one of the few times I like being wrong, as her ranking will make a significant rise at the next update. More and more athleticism is being seen at the next level, and Rhianna is already showing that next-level strength in her jump and attack.

Poised to be one of the first off the board in her class (commitments can't come for her until mid June of 2026), Elle is a high-flying and lengthy outside that can terminate at any angle, from any tempo of ball, at any time. Perfect for the three-rotation position at any front row attacking spot, Elle is slowly but surely working on her floor defense and serve receive, completing the recruiting package that make her an elite prospect in the class of ‘28. As the reigning Avoli Committed Athlete of our most recent showcase, she's ready for the big time, and is only getting stronger and better from here.

As the top recruit in the class of ‘28, Cala's international experience, paired with her all-state honors and two 4A state championship trophies, make her as elite as they come. Rarely do I bring attention to liberi in any of my articles, yet Cala breaks the mold and is one-of-one in the floor general category. With quick, deliberate footwork, a calm platform and near-perfection in her technique, Miss Haffner is part of the next generation of passers to come out of Indiana.

On any other team, Kyla would be wearing the special jersey. To be fair, I'm all for Kyla getting (1) superior training from one of the best coaches in the country, and (2) the chance to play along side one of the best liberi in the country. She's a spitfire of a defender, able to cover half of the court in serve receive and take pressure off of the front-row-only players on her roster. She's also tough behind the baseline, adding to her recruiting skill set. In our showcases, she's shown up and showed out. I would not be surprised in the least if she continues that high-end communication and work ethic for every roster she's ever part of for the rest of her career.
