About Jensen
Expert Analysis

The Kubik family has been through the recruiting process before. Madi went to Nebraska, Hayden went to Nebraska and then finished at Tennessee, while Peyton Kubik in the Class of 2027 gave her verbal to Pitt. Jensen has quite the skill set as an all around six rotation outside hitter where she has been a standout for Dynasty. She has Kansas and Kansas State down the road where both of those programs would be a great fit. Another program that could be intriguing is Mizzou. This would be a short drive from home and coach Dawn Sullivan has been able to bring in some high level talent to Colombia.

Jensen Kubik looks forward to the Summer NIT because of the competition. One matchup immediately came to mind when she thought about the tournament, TAV.
After several battles this season, the possibility of seeing them again is something she genuinely welcomes. The challenge excites her.
Aggressive players tend to enjoy moments where they are pushed, tested, and forced to respond. Jensen appears to fall into that category. She wants to compete against great teams, play meaningful matches, and see how her game responds under pressure.
June 15 is approaching quickly, making events like Summer NIT even more important for athletes in her class. Still, one of the most insightful parts of her perspective had nothing to do with recruiting.
Everyone’s journey is different and comparing yourself is a big mental block but just believe in yourself.
That kind of perspective often helps athletes stay focused on their own growth rather than someone else’s timeline.

The Kubik pipeline rolls on. This latest iteration is a can’t-miss athlete with a full arsenal of skills at the left-side hitter spot. Kubik’s uncanny ability to heat at the peak of her jump has led to some indefensible shots over opposing blockers. Her quickness is also an asset in the back row, where her reflexes shine in the middle-back area. Dynasty 16 Black’s lofty goals could be realized at the Windy City Qualifier to kick off a busy April stretch.

Kubik recorded a season with 239 digs and 301 kills. Her season reminds me of Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong’s in reverse. I knew PCA had the speed to get 30 stolen bases this season, but he shocked several folks by hitting 30 home runs. I knew Kubik had the power; it was defensive numbers I was not prepared for. Speaking of defense, PCA will be a perennial Gold Glove winner roaming the outfield grass at Wrigley Field, while Kubik will be looking to defend a Class 6A state championship in 2026.

Kubik has been garnering state and national attention, and deservedly so. She will move up the rankings during this round of updates, but she will have to wait one more sleep to find out where. She finished with 301 kills for the Class 6A State Champion Jaguars. She is from a volleyball family and competes at a high level. There is no doubt she will end up playing for a Division I Program after high school.

The third athlete I missed playing this season was West’s Kubik. Kubik recorded 301 kills in 80 sets played for the Class 6A State Champion Jaguars. Like McDonald, she comes from an athletic family with an older sister verbally committed to playing college volleyball. She was named to the KCA Class 6A All-State second team. Kubik is ranked No. 12 overall by Prep Dig Kansas.

Kubik’s rise up the rankings directly correlates with her current varsity production for the Jaguars. Her stat line through 42 sets played includes 136 kills, 100 digs, 151 serve receptions, 24 aces, and six blocks. The Jaguars are off to a great season and look poised to qualify for the State Tournament. Kubik is currenlty ranked No. 79 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. The question now is, how many rungs up the rankings ladder did she climb?

This would be the fourth Kubik I have written about, Jensen Kubik of Dynasty 15 Black. Her older sisters are Madi Kubik (Nebraska), Hayden Kubik (Tennessee), and Peyton Kubik of Dynasty 16 Black who recently committed to Pitt. I remember seeing Peyton and Jensen at the club tournaments watching their older sisters knowing they would probably be making a name for themselves one day. Jensen Kubik had such a smooth all around game. I saw her score points, but I was really impressed with her serve receive and middle back defense.
