Most of these kids already are in high school. Their recruiting processes are underway in various stages. Now that we're at the end of the season, however, it's a good time to check in on the 14Us, many of whom will be freshmen in a few months.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I did just that last week at the USAV Junior National Tournament in Indianapolis. I saw her playing six-rotation outside hitter earlier in the season. When I caught Rockets 14R at USAV Nationals, the incoming Holy Trinity Catholic freshman was setting. She looked natural at the position just as she had in playing at the pin. Bottom line is that Pieper is a good all around player and her versatility is valuable. It tracks with what is being taught in the Rockets program and what has led to a lot of success in Fort Madison. For Pieper, it allows for develop at multiple positions in search of the one that fits her best. She was standing out as a middle hitter for the United 14U squad that reached the USAV Junior National tournament. Bollers is tall with long arms and explosion off of the court. She generates a lot of power in her swing from the height of a strong vertical leap. Bollers shows a good feel for flowing with the opposing attack and getting into position to throw up an effective block. The Cedar Valley-based program's top team in the age group finished an impressive fifth in reaching the Gold Bracket in the USA Division at the USAV Junior Nationals. The squad is strong all around the court, including in the middle of the net. Schulte is already 6-feet tall with long arms and agility. She moves well laterally and jumps quickly off of the court. Already capable of generating power in her swing, there's room to add heaviness as she gains strength throughout the next few years. Her father played quarterback at Northern Iowa and her brother is a rising quarterback in Iowa's 2028 Class. Petrie was a key player for Six Pack 14U in its earning a bid to the USAV Junior Nationals, hammering away from the outside pin with a strong vertical leap and power in the swing. She moves well around the court and does well in flowing with the action. Also a standout in club basketball and impactful in track, Petrie has plenty of room for development in volleyball as she gains more reps. The incoming Ankeny freshman was operating through six rotations as an outside hitter and doing so at a high level. Wylie's athleticism stands out, aiding her in getting above the net and hanging in the air. There's power in the swing with room for more as strength is added. With sharp reflexes and lateral quickness, Wylie does well in getting into position for blocks and in digging the ball up in the back row.
