Bowling Green junior [player_tooltip player_id='577773' first='Chayse' last='Gilliland'] helped the Tennessee Performance 16 Maverick squad to an AAU national championship and verbally committed to Arkansas State so she kept the top spot. Assumption junior [player_tooltip player_id='611724' first='Brooke' last='Codey'] just verbally committed to the University of Kentucky and also took huge steps forward during club season so she remained in the second spot. Roose is not only a determined player, but also an incredible teammates. She keeps an even keel on the court. She fools blockers with her ability to delay her rise on ones until the last second then go up and smack balls hard to the ground. Roose can adjust in mid-air and use her high attack point to pound balls away from double blocks and into seams. Roose has mastered shoots, putting even more pressure on defenses. Roose does not hesitate to pound balls into tight spaces. She can also hit to corners and shove balls to the side lines. Roose also plays with great aggression on her blocks. Sieg is really smooth on first contacts. Sieg takes minimal steps to balls and has a good rhythm to get offenses into a good rhythm. Sieg lunges when needed, but still maintains great ball control. That includes digging up well-struck balls. Sieg provides great net backup and quality out of system sets. Derringer is explosive off the ground. Her final two steps yield great power into balls. Derringer has a high attack point and a sound downward trajectory. Derringer sees the court and smacks balls into open areas on the court. Redlinger hits through blocks and delivers quality shots from the front and back row on out of system shots. Redlinger tools blocks and waits until the last second to swing so as to avoid hitting into blocks. Sisk aims her body one way, but sends balls the opposite way at the last second.
