About Nalani

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I Have remarkable speed and agility. I am constantly described by my coaches and peers that I am extremely athletic, have explosive movements along with quick reflexes. I am known to consistently make plays in situations where most players would give up.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a humble yet fierce mentality to the court. I’m always willing to learn and grow, respecting my coaches’ guidance and my teammates’ experience. Though I’m grounded, I have the heart of a champion, driven by a relentless desire to improve and contribute to the team. I approach each game with quiet confidence, knowing that hard work, and a team-first attitude will always win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Member of Beta club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed strong leadership qualities through playing club volleyball at the highest level. I am known for inspiring and motivating my teammates, by leading by example on and off the court. I foster a positive atmosphere , encouraging others to push harder to reach their full potential.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As an eighth grader on a varsity volleyball team, I faced several challenges that pushed me to grow quickly. Competing against older, more experienced athletes was intimidating at first, and I had to work hard to prove I deserved my spot on the team. The pace and intensity of the game were faster than what I was used to, so I had to adapt quickly, learning to make faster decisions.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking a college that balances strong academics with a competitive athletic program, where I can grow both as a student and an athlete. I would like a great campus culture with a strong sense of community.

Nalani is an exciting player to watch! She can throw it down and is fast and explosive on the court! She has a quick swing and racks up points with kills that will bring the opposition to their knees. She is called upon often and delivers, she transitions fast off the net and her attack is quick. She gets on top of the balls and drives it down finding the seams and getting great contact. Nalani has a super timing and reach with her block and can stuff one! She shows excellent technique and readiness at the net and moves easily up and down the net reading the setter well. She is enthusiastic on the court and covers her teammates well. Love love, love her play! Keep tabs on this one!
