414 Elite out of Milwaukee is another 16s team who has put together a successful season. They took home the 16 Liberty Division at the Windy City Qualifier, securing themselves a spot at USAV Nationals in Indy.  Frei just knows how to run the show.  She runs a 5-1 where she has such positive intangibles.  From a skillset standpoint everything starts with her feet.  She gets herself in position to receive the ball high and neutral where her attackers are able to terminate with multiple tempos.  She is also someone who can be offensive when the opportunity comes.  Definitely put a star next to her name to get to camp this summer. 

I definitely remember watching Kendall Frei Kendall Frei 5'9" | S/RS Oak Creek | 2028 State WI last year as a 15s and was impressed with the maturity of her game for a 15s. As a 16s this year, she will be leading 414 16 Elite out of the Milwaukee area in the 16 Liberty Division.  Her game starts with good footwork where she gets her feet to the ball that allows her hands to do the work.  She has a smooth release and isn’t afraid to push tempo.  

Frei is a dynamic and dependable leader on any team. She is a volleyball setter that brings a high game IQ and unwavering determination to every match. She works tirelessly to deliver clean and consistent sets, varies the offense and keeps it running smoothly, and never hesitates in her pursuit to chase down every ball in order to keep plays alive. Frei has a relentless work ethic and is driven for excellence. I watched her a few times last year (including AAU where she won an All-American award. She had a fantastic year last year so naturally I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us this year.

Kendall plays with confidence and isn’t afraid to be aggressive at the net. She times her dumps perfectly and keeps defenders on their heels by taking it over on two when they least expect it. She also has a strong, consistent serve and does a great job keeping her team in system, even on tough passes. Her ability to stay composed while keeping pressure on the other side makes her a fun setter to watch.

Kendall is a highly talented setter who never stops battling on the court. I had the opportunity to see her play at the Champions Cup, where she had an immediate impact. Kendall has continued to level up her game throughout the season, and her efforts were rewarded not only with a 3rd place finish for her team at AAU Nationals but also with All-American Honors.

Kendall seems to have an endless well of energy for her team. And she does exactly what her team needs of her in the moment. She is a very focused athlete who sets a dime ball and then runs to celebrate everyone else who was a part of the play first. Her positivity and competitiveness help her team snap out of slumps quicker, and she is a natural leader.

Kendall is a consistent setter who never takes a play off. She works hard whenever the ball comes over the net to set her teammates up for success. Kendall does a nice job keeping all of her hitters involved and spreads her offense well to prevent opposing blockers from guessing her next move. She is the kind of player whose grit and hustle will only continue to elevate her game.
