It's crunch time! Only the four best teams from each region remain alive in the University Interscholastic League's (UIL) high school volleyball playoffs and in less than 48 hours we'll know the 24 teams (four in each division) that will make the trip to Garland to compete in the State Championship.

It's needless to say that everything will be on the line this weekend, starting with Friday's regional semifinals and ending on Saturday's regional finals, and every match is absolutely worth watching, but here are four exciting duels, one from each region of the Lone Star State, we'd like to present.

Region 1: Bushland vs. Wall - @ Lubbock Cooper HS - 8 PM

The Bushland Falcons (37-4) are the reigning state champions and will try to make another run for the State Championship. They won Conference 3A - District 1 with eight wins and are undefeated in their last 25 matches after they topped Littlefield, Crane and Shallowater in the playoffs. Bushland's senior trio of Kaela Neie (outside hitter), Jada Permenter (libero) and Logan Culpepper (setter) is one of the strengths of the team.

The Wall Hawks (37-6) were the winners of Conference 3A - District 6 with an undefeated campaign of six victories. Their postseason run was victories against Llano, Bowie and Henrietta. Senior outside hitter Kamryn Williams and junior right side [player_tooltip player_id='475384' first='Sloane' last='Paugh'] have been operating pretty well on both sides of the ball and thriving on offense under the system of junior setter Emma McShan.

https://x.com/ReaseDickey/status/1590504306255736832?s=20&t=CbfGSv4u_q2tyLeUCrA-VA

Region 2: Canton vs. Aubrey - @ John Horn HS - 6 PM

The Canton Eagles (33-7) have been a force in region 2 as they won Conference 4A - District 16 with 12 straight victories. The team has also had a remarkable playoff run so far, eliminating Paris, Kaufman and Pleasant Grove in the postseason. Junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='233195' first='Georgia' last='crayton'] has been doing a great job in leading an offensive line that features sophomore right side Allison Rickman and senior outside hitter Airianna Pickens.

The Aubrey Chaparrals (36-9) were the winners of Conference 4A - District 11 with a strong campaign of nine wins and one loss. They have been on fire in the playoffs, sweeping Hampton Prep, Alvarado and Panther Creek on their way to the regional semifinals. Senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='141116' first='Sydney' last='Garrison'] has been a stud for the Chaparrals, who also get great production from sophomore middle Kynadi Hall and junior setter Olivia Starr.

https://x.com/CantonVball2015/status/1590711219526471680?s=20&t=pGvJ4Lb2GKM6ZAnfhC89tQ

Region 3: Tompkins vs. Clear Springs - @ Delmar Fieldhouse - 5 PM

The Tompkins Falcons (39-4) from Katy are coming from a big win over Ridge Point in the regional quarterfinals. The winners of Conference 6A - District 19 with 16 wins have also beat Fort Bend Austin and Cypress Creek in the playoffs. Senior right side [player_tooltip player_id='87549' first='Cindy' last='Tchouangwa'] has been on fire in the postseason and has been huge for the Falcons, who have a great all-around played in junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='197076' first='Skylar' last='Skrabanek'] and a highly-talented libero in sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='254089' first='Brooklynn' last='Merrell'].

The Clear Springs Chargers (39-8) from League City handed the Falcons one of their four losses this season. The team won Conference 6A - District 24 with a perfect record of 12 victories and has showed strength in the playoffs, knocking Shadow Creek, Atascocita and Pearland out. One of the most complete players in the region, junior setter/right side [player_tooltip player_id='177535' first='Ashley' last='Richardson'] has been in excellent form all season and forms the core of the team with fellow junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='124132' first='Morgen' last='Durgens'] and senior right side Carissa Young.

https://x.com/OTHSVolleyball/status/1590704107433517057?s=20&t=pGvJ4Lb2GKM6ZAnfhC89tQ

Region 4: Liberty Hill vs. Sharyland - @ Northside Sports Gym - 5 PM

The Liberty Hill Panthers (40-10) were second in Conference 5A - District 25 and caused back-to-back upsets against district winners in the playoffs, topping Harlandale and Canyon - they also defeated Tivy in the postseason. The team's junior duo formed by right side [player_tooltip player_id='177545' first='Giovanna' last='Mason'] and outside hitter Kealy Dirner has been very strong offensively while another junior, setter Carson Glenn, is on pace to reach 800 season assists on the match - she's currently at 791.

The Sharyland Rattlers (44-4) from Mission won Conference 5A - District 31 with 17 wins and one loss and are currently on an eight-match winning streak. Their postseason campaign has victories over Lopez, Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial and Victoria West. The team has a very strong sophomore due with outside hitter Kenisha Martinez and setter Kassandra De La Garza while senior outside hitter America Hernandez is a fantastic two-way player.

https://x.com/SISDmedia/status/1590442964635222017?s=20&t=cdxIygEJmAprX2Z_U_nj0w
