Player Bio
About me
My name is Jada Johnson and I play high school volleyball for Jesuit HS in Portland, OR, and club volleyball for NPJ Salem 16 National. Varsity starter since a freshman at Jesuit HS, earning all-league and all-state awards and helping the team win the 2023 6A state championship. Awarded both the "Hustle" and "Most Inspirational" awards by my team.
What position(s) do you play? What do you view as your strengths?
Positionally, I started as a Middle playing that role up through 14U. In 15U, I transitioned to OPP/OH, finishing the season as the #1 OPP in Oregon for the class of 2026. At the 15U GJNC, I played 6 rotations at OH and earned recognition as one of 25 athletes to watch. I am high energy and athletic, and I am known for my high vertical jump and play above the net.
What type of school are you looking for?
I am open to all schools in all locations that can offer me the chance to play the highest level of volleyball with the best academic profile. I am not only a high-performing and competitive athlete, but also an honors-level straight-A student. I take my academics very seriously and work extremely hard to perform my best in school. I hope to study biology and eventually become a neurosurgeon.
What are your interests outside of Volleyball?
I am a Varsity sprinter for the Jesuit track team. I also volunteer with Jesuit Christian Service as an usher at weekly Mass services and participate in the Black Student Union, the Women in Sports Club, Jr. Ambassadors, and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. I am an avid reader and like writing, poetry, and performing. I have a published podcast called Train the Brain with Jada Johnson on Spotify.com
