How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Off the court I'm very easy going and really enjoy my friendships and experiences; on the court I am COMPETITIVE! I've been called a silent competitor, ready to play when called upon and take action when and where needed on the front row!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I make friends easily and believe observing first before walking into situations. I have learned to put my mental state first and firmly stand by motivational talks with myself on the sideline as well as engaging my teammates in positive talk...it builds team camaraderie and mental focus.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

YES! Member, PAL's program at OTHS, attend local elementary schools and paired with students that need support, attention, help and friendship. NCL Star Chapter, National Charity League. Volunteer at Special Pals, an animal shelter in Houston, TX. (Love my time there, walking dogs, cleaning cages, laundry). Family member of NEGU, Jessie Rees Foundation

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel having empathy for others can go along way. Truly listening to understand a situation or a person builds character and leadership. I have learned it's not just trying to be a leader or working hard, it's about follow through, humility, compassion and commitment.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I was 4 years old my older brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He was able to beat it after a year and a half of treatment, however the toll it took on his body, mentally and physically was a lot. This brought our family closer and even today we are each others biggest cheerleaders! Secondly, making the switch from 11 yrs of dance to volleyball was a tough decision, one I'm proud of!

What type of college are you looking for?

Challenging and academically supportive, with a strong volleyball program that has a family feel, but also competitive players and staff that want to push each other to be their best! To be the best you have to want the best for others, as well...it's a team!
