This Illinois Class of 2028 has quite the group of setters. Kelly Ryan Kelly Ryan 6'1" | S/RS Chicago (Marist) | 2028 State IL is one to watch in this group playing for 1st Alliance 16 Silver.  The 1st Alliance setting core is always well trained.  Ryan has great footwork, she gets to the ball quickly and finds a way to get a swing for her attackers.  Her game goes beyond the setting fundamentals where she defends her position extremely well whether she’s in the back or front row.  Her length and athleticism is fun to see on display where she is continuously making a positive impact on the game. 1st Alliance 16 Silver is crushing it this season, they have taken home the titles for the USA Division at MEQ and Windy City. 

The way Kelly Ryan Kelly Ryan 6'1" | S/RS Chicago (Marist) | 2028 State IL runs the offense is impressive.  The Class of 2028 setter who preps at Marist and runs the show for 1st Alliance 16 Silver has great footwork and hands.  She gets her feet to the ball that allows her to run multiple tempos to all of her attackers.  There is a high IQ about her game where she is so fluid and smooth.  This team already has a bid to USAV Nationals and are battle tested.  They will have their eyes on the prize for a chance to play in gold on Sunday. 

So smooth! With a lot of length and athleticism, Kelly Ryan Kelly Ryan 6'1" | S/RS Chicago (Marist) | 2028 State IL can do it all for 1st Alliance 15 Silver. She is the type of player who can’t come off the court with not only her skill but her demeanor and poise. She sets in the back row and can attack in the front row. Dynamic would be an understatement: this 15 Silver team gets better each time i see them play. 

I always get so excited when I see a setter with the height that Kelly has, and I was even more excited to learn that she is only a freshman! Ryan played with so much confidence at the Expo, and was setting up both pins for success from anywhere on the court. She puts up such a strong block on the right side and keeps her opponents on their toes with her smart plays. Kelly is definitely a player to watch in the coming years!
