Who are the best freshmen volleyball players in Texas? We definitely saw some players who wanted that title over the weekend at our Freshman Showcases. The second session was held on Sunday July 28th at the Courtside Sports Center facility in Carrollton, TX. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. This series of articles will discuss those special players that stood out for various reasons to our court coaches and scouts. They have won our prestigious Top Performer award. Let's meet the winners!

MC is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet. But this young lady has everything inside of her to be ranked very high once it is released from what I saw in person. She plays volleyball at Mansfield High School and plays for the Dallas Skyline program. Miss Crutcher was one player who I was very intrigued to watch in person, because of the amazing online content I have seen so far on her. She has a great online presence that is gaining a lot of traction with scouts. I have to tell our readers that she was definitely worth the price of admission. She is the real deal and can be a dominating force when she wants to take over games. I liked how she had an all around game that showed she was just as good from the back row as she is at the net. Offensively, I am not sure that there was anyone who matched her ability to score from multiple locations and with immense power. She has every shot that you would want in a "go to" hitter who can score in bunches. This is one name that I strongly suggest every college coach take note of now because she will be a hot commodity very soon. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award.

[player_tooltip player_id='536897' first='Camryn' last='Corso'] [2028] 6-0 Outside (HS: Reedy/Club: [program_tooltip program_id='475085' first='1United' last='']/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Camryn is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She has me very excited to unveil the State Ranking update with what I saw from her at the showcase. She plays volleyball at Frisco Reedy High School and club for the [program_tooltip program_id='475085' first='1United' last=''] volleyball program. I have seen Miss Corso play this past club season and was very intrigued to watch her in person at our event. Her play did not disappoint at all. As a matter of fact, after watching her in action, I pulled her to another court to see her against some other high level players and she still proved her worth over and over. Blessed with a prototypical volleyball outside hitter frame, she uses every ounce of her muscle to power past blockers and crank the ball with force. Her athleticism truly stood out as many times she had to create shots in out of system situations. When her team needed someone to step in at the middle position to give other middles a breather, she was happy to oblige. When I interacted with her, I was pleasantly surprised by her positivity and found myself glued to see how other coaches interacted with her. Quite a few of our court coaches remarked to me how amazing she was as a player. Being nominated by more than one coach for this award speaks volumes. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at the showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='500890' first='Gracie' last='White'] [2028] 6-3 Middle (HS: Plano West/Club: [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last='']/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Gracie is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet. From what I saw, she has the ability to be ranked very high when I release them in a few months. She plays volleyball at Plano West High School and also for the famed [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last=''] volleyball club program. I am not sure that there was a more dominant middle blocker at the freshman showcase in both Houston and Dallas than her. Although most people will notice her height, what stood out to me was her quick footwork and great body control. I have seen her play this past club season and she was dominant then. What we saw from her play during the showcase should have everyone in high school worried about facing her for the next four years. She is the type of middle that opposing coaches will have to game plan around and know exactly where she is in each rotation. Her ability to turn on the ball in mid-air and attack sharp angles around the block at this young age will have college coaches drooling. Stay tuned for more from Miss White as we will gladly be covering her journey in this sport. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Top Performer award for this showcase.
