Januelwicz left no doubt about her readiness to pile up more accolades in 2026. We’ve documented how last year’s VCNebraska 15 Elite group ascended the divisional ladder en route to GJNC, and this Grand Island native was an integral part of the triumph. She showcased her familiar burst in the Nebraska Elite gym during Sunday’s outing, leading to some gritty victories on the GPR stage. That should translate well to national venues, too.

We recently alluded to VCNebraska 15 Elite’s tremendous 2025 season, and Janulewicz played a pivotal role in engineering that rise. So, her considerable jump in GI Northwest’s kill column was no surprise. Janulewicz has accumulated nearly 800 kills in two seasons with the Vikings and is a scoring threat in any rotation. It’s exactly what we’d expect from a VCN pin hitter.

It’s scary to think that Janulewicz could be even more effective for Grand Island Northwest this fall. She piled up over 350 kills for the Vikings last year, setting the stage for an equally outstanding club season with VCNebraska 15 Elite this spring. Janulewicz helped 15 Elite reinvent itself this year. The team earned a 15 USA bid before jumping up to 15 National through the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. Januelwicz brings a cannon arm in all six rotations and has found her stride against the nation’s toughest competition. It’s a good omen as she closes out 2025.

Janulewicz has been a plug-and-play star at Grand Island Northwest, one of central Nebraska’s most successful volleyball programs. This athletic left-side hitter churned out nearly four kills per set last year and easily soared past a 0.200 hitting efficiency on the season. Janulewicz ventures to VCNebraska on the club side, and she’ll have a chance to keep honing her skills against the nation’s best. GJNC is on the horizon for Janulewicz and 15 Elite.

Sure, Janulewicz made an impression last fall when she became an unstoppable first-year attacker for Grand Island Northwest. That set a high bar for the club season, but this explosive athlete has proven that her game translates to the national stage. Janulewicz can go over the top of the block or slice into the open court on the outside. Either way, the Northwest star is bound to lead VCNebraska 15 Elite into future triumphs at the Open level.

Janulewicz’s freshman season left little doubt that she would appear on our first 2028 watch list. She led the GI Northwest offense with nearly four kills per set and put the Vikings on the cusp of a Class B tournament appearance. Her heavy heat from the left pin left opposing defenses with little chance to make a positive touch, and Janulewicz remained a scoring threat in the back row. These all-around skills will suit her well with VCNebraska 15 Elite, a team with clear bid aspirations heading into the 2025 campaign.

We’ve mentioned that Grand Island Northwest looks poised to start a new postseason streak after coming up short of last year’s tournament. This resurgence has been led by a freshman at the outside hitter spot. Janulewicz has burst onto the Class B scene with 3.7 kills per set to lead all Viking attackers. The VCNebraska standout also gets plenty of work in the back row with over three digs per set. Northwest has just reached Class B’s top eight and will keep sparring for more positions in the coming days.
