About Abigail

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an undersized middle blocker, so it is crucial for me to work my hardest on the court in order to get my block set and hit around taller middle blockers. I enjoy running a fast-paced offense and hitting a variety of different balls.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm an energetic and encouraging player who fights for every point. I love seeing success and growth through my teammates and myself so I work hard on and off the court. Supporting my teammates is really important to me, and I strive to create a positive environment that motivates everyone around me.

Waukee Northwest is piling up names to know after Friday’s showcase. Olsen is a unique “hybrid” attacker who can do damage as a middle blocker or a right-side hitter. Her work in the middle was especially impressive last weekend, as Olsen could move laterally from pin to pin and close any block. She was among the best slide terminators during positional drills and will be a versatile athlete to follow this fall.
