About Lily

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am smart, athletic, and aggressive on the court. I’m a dynamic hitter with many different shots that I can use to score points. I am as aggressive in defense, reading hitters and anticipating where the ball is going. I’m confident in serve receive and go for every ball I can.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a fierce competitor and a leader on the court. I will battle to the last point, stay focused on the next ball, and find ways to help my team succeed. I am very consistent and can get out of my head quickly when I need to.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in PSLAC, a Principal nominated focus group to better the school. I was in Stugo last year, FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and two other Christian clubs at my school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was the captain of my school team and led my team by encouraging them to bring their best effort to each match. I ran and won the election for student government, represented the freshman class in fundraisers, pep rallies, and community service. I mentored younger girls at my club during their evals. I learned to lead in all three areas.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have been fortunate enough to not have had any challenges so significant that I couldn’t find my way through them. I’ve had temporary setbacks, disappointments, tough classes, bad games etc., but nothing I couldn’t recover from.

What type of college are you looking for?

My ideal college would have a nice campus, academic programs in my major that support my desire to go to law school, and a strong volleyball program.
