It's a big week for the 2027s.

We're fresh off another visit to the new Premier Nebraska gym for early-season regional competition. Yesterday's feature delved into a group of elite 2027s who thrived at the first GPR Gold Series, and this success comes at a perfect time. The Northern Lights Qualifier looms this weekend, bringing some of the nation's best 17s squads to Minneapolis. The Great Plains Region will be well represented.

So, our Class of 2027 discussion continues from last weekend's showcase.

Snider is back in command with Nebraska Elite. This Omaha Westside junior has seen the highest levels of prep competition, from Open-level qualifier bouts to the Class A gauntlet with the Warriors. Snider's smooth touch at the setter spot reemerged at last weekend's event, reminding us why she remains in the top tier of Nebraska's uncommitted 2027s.

It's easy to get caught up in [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 17 Black's firepower on the pins, but Franklin's presence in the middle will be just as impactful. She was a constant source of positive energy at Sunday's event and set the tone with her hustle and effort. Franklin stretches out opposing defenses with her effective slide approach, allowing 17 Black to operate its ever-diversifying offense. Balance will be key as 17 Black pursues another run to GJNC.

Larson's positional range keeps expanding. Our last run-in with the Norfolk native was at last December's Nebraska Exposure Tour, where she oscillated between defensive roles and hitting reps. She suited up for Nebraska Elite at Sunday's event and boosted her stock further as the team's leading defender. Larson is incredibly comfortable in the libero jersey and doesn't hesitate to fill open seams in the passing pattern. Depth is on the rise in Nebraska Elite's 2027 camp.

Devers has continued her climb since lighting up our Nebraska Exposure Tour to close out 2025. She gets on top of the ball quickly and can produce indefensible heat on her crosscourt swings. Premier Nebraska 17 Silver gets the most out of Devers' frontcourt rotations and has several new lineup options for this year's campaign. Devers will be a high-impact contributor to any of those lineups.

Stukenholtz returns as the unquestioned leader for Premier Nebraska 17 Red's backcourt. Her influence is not limited to first contacts, either. This Platteview junior will eagerly step in as a secondary setter and keep 17 Red's outside attackers in a groove. We have fond memories of last year's 16 Red lineup, which was anchored by an army of defensive specialists with infectious energy. 2026 should offer more of the same.

Meyers is back. It's been a long road back from injury for this Superior superstar, but she's coming back to the fray at the right time for [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 17 Synergy. Her 2024 state championship run with Superior was a testament to Meyers' willingness to take as many swings as possible. She has primarily been a pin hitter for the Wildcats, but 17 Synergy has even more ways to harness Meyers' versatility. Middle? Opposite? 2026 will be full of compelling storylines for this elite multi-sport athlete.

Kearney Elite is loaded in the middle. Scheribel makes an immediate impact when she rotates into the front row and has more range than you'd expect from a middle blocker. Her agility is perhaps her best asset, allowing her to keep pace with quick offenses on the other side of the net. Regional venues like the GPR Gold Series will be invaluable for keeping tabs on rural gems like Scheribel, so last weekend's event was just the beginning of our coverage.

Moulton remains the do-everything "wildcard" player in Club Legacy 17 Alpha's arsenal. This Omaha Concordia junior flourished during last year's club season, exhibiting her proficiency as a setter and an attacker. The same narrative is playing out a year later, as Moutlon logged highlight-worthy swings and sets at the GPR Gold Series. Her infinite skill set will allow 17 Alpha to adapt its lineups in pursuit of another spectacular season.
