We're all focused on the journey forward with the Class of 2028, which will officially become recruitable next week. However, we have a whole backlog of memories and standout moments to highlight as we try to cover as many rising juniors as possible. Last fall's high school season was an ideal venue to showcase college-ready talent, especially with so many Kansas sophomores putting up big numbers. Several have already entered the discussion in Part 1 of this series.

Why not double down? The 2025 stat sheet gives us no shortage of landmarks on this trek.

Another feature starts at Blue Valley West. Harris added to the Jaguars' championship-winning firepower last year with nearly 250 total kills on a 0.313 attacking clip. Her efficiency numbers set the pace for Kansas sophomores, but those statistics are only part of what makes Harris' sophomore season so compelling. She dominated at the middle blocker spot, painting a stark contrast to her outside-driven success with KC Power 16-1. Harris boasts rare positional versatility that will make her a must-follow prospect in the Class of 2028.

Maka will have no shortage of options at the next level. Like many of the athletes we've highlighted in this series, Maka has dazzled on the high school stage in venues beyond volleyball. She's a multi-sport gem who has transformed Chaparral High School's game plans, and the results show in the box score. This high-flying pin hitter posted 4.5 kills per set last year and eclipsed 300 total terminations in each of her underclassman seasons with the Roadrunners. Her dig numbers have been similarly impressive, elevating Maka into a constant double-double threat. That description applies to her basketball career, too!

Miller's statistical production is impressive enough, but her sophomore tape with Royal Valley helps put these numbers into context. Some outside hitters bring power that jumps off the screen, and that's what Miller brings to the Panthers' net presence. Her cross-court heat is unstoppable. Miller finds angles that leave no chance for opposing defenders to make a play, so you can expect her termination stats to reflect that. Indeed, we were treated to a colossal 5.4 kills per set from the Royal Valley sophomore, setting the table for more breakthroughs with Topeka Saints. Don't lose sight of Miller when assessing Kansas's stacked group of 2028 pin hitters.

If you're looking for an athlete who can fill every quadrant of the stat sheet, Andrews is a perfect choice. Her prep tenure with Lansing High School has put her setting prowess in the spotlight since she arrived as a spry freshman in 2024. Andrews posted 9.6 assists per set in Year 2, marking the second consecutive season with an average over nine. However, Andrews has also been allowed to don her attacking cap with Dynasty 16 Blue, giving her a full array of options at the next level. 16 Blue's ascent to Open status has allowed Andrews' quick right arm to flourish, in addition to all the finesse she brings as a setter. Who knows what the future holds?

We're heading out west! Kansas's prep talent is certainly not limited to the KC metro, and George's all-around impact with Garden City is another stark reminder. She took full command of the Buffalo offense last fall, dishing out over 800 assists to land among the state's top underclassman distributors. Aside from her pinpoint location and deceptive style, George will not shy away from getting aggressive at the net and making her terminal potential known. Western Kansas is firmly on our radar as we assess the next wave of rankings updates.

Rawlins County found the perfect way to harness Rodriguez's defensive skills last fall. The Buffaloes slotted their star libero in the middle-back area and allowed her to operate a large chunk of the team's open floor. The result was five digs per set, marking an explosive uptick in production from Rodriguez's debut season. Rodriguez is quick to deny any off-speed shots in the campfire with her intentional first steps and rangy platform. Of course, this reliability also applies to Rodriguez's presence in the serve-receive pattern. This excellence helped Rawlins County soar to its best record in years, and growth potential is still escalating in 2026.

We're circling back to the Topeka area for another awe-inspiring talent with infinite positional potential. That's a long-winded way of saying that Dean does it all. She logged over 200 kills with Jefferson West as a sophomore, but that's just the start of the narrative. 2025 also brought the second-straight season where Dean finished on the cusp of 400 total digs. Her ball control has set her apart and gives recruiters a lot to think about. But, even as volleyball coaches seek out Dean's services, she is also blazing a trail in softball and basketball with the Tigers. There are no limits.
