About Annabelle

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

Im someone who has always earned my position through hard work. Nothing has come naturally for me, so ive had to put in the extra work and learn to be coachable, embrace challenges, and enjoy the process of improving. I stay composed when the game gets chaotic, trust my insticts, and love making plays that keep rallies alive and give my team another chance to score.

What are you working to improve right now?

Right now im focused on becoming a faster defender. Im working on my first step, lateral movement, and learning to read hitters even earlier so I can react quicker and cover more of the court. I enjoy finding the little details that help me become a smarter player.

What are you looking for in a college program?

Im looking for a program where the culture is bigger than volleyball. I want to be surrounded by teammates who are passionate about the game, push each other everyday and build releationships beyond the court. I also want a school that will challenge me academically and prepare me for life after volleyball. Finding a place where I can grow as both a student and a athlete is important to me.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

Outside of volleyball, I run my own sports photography business, which has taught me responsibility, communication, and how to balance multiple commitments. My faith is a important part of my life and shapes the way I approach challenges, competition, and supporting others. I am also homeschooled, which has taught me to be independent, disciplined, and take ownership of my learning.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

Im interested in studying sports medicine because I want to help athletes recover, perform at their best, and stay healthy. Being involved in sports has inspired me to pursue a career where I can continue making a impact both on and off the court.
