Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
As a libero, I would describe my style as focused and very team-oriented. I communicate consistently through every play, and have the "no ball touches the ground" mentality. I take pride in keeping the energy high through my team and being a good leader. While under pressure, I do my best to stay calm and battle through tough rallies, while also trying to learn from every touch.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
My mentality is always about consistency and wanting to get better. Every touch is a chance to learn and get better. As for my personality I am very vocal and competitive. My role is never about being the best on my team but always doing what I need to do for my team to succeed. I am a very good leader and always try to keep my teams grounded no matter the score or situation we are put in.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in Key Club, volunteering for Special Olympics, Beatrice Leadership, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and (2024-2025) Class of 2028-Class Vice-President Beatrice High School. I have received a 4.0 academic letter, as well as the Beatrice High School ORANGE Award that is given for top studentcharacter.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my volunteering with Special Olympics track, I've had the opportunity to develop strong leadership and teamwork skills. Working closely with the athletes, I've helped them reach their personal goals and build confidence in their abilities. This experience has not only taught me how to lead and support others but also how to work with other volunteers better.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Being a freshman starter for both basketball and volleyball for a Class B school showed me many challenges. While faced with extreme pressure, I had to learn how to prove myself to my older teammates. I had to learn how to be mentally strong and perform at my best with my teammates. As a freshman being a starter was a lot of weight to carry but it ultimately made me a better person/athlete.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am interested in a small D1 school or D2 school. I want to be part of a college team that is extremely supportive with a very passionate coaching staff. Not only is teamwork and family a big factor, but so is academics. I want to have a school that takes their education as importantly as sports.
