Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am Aubree Svoboda, a 5'7 L/DS, in the 2028 class. I attend Clear Springs in Texas and play club volleyball at H. Skyline 15R. I was selected for 2024 USAV NTDP Winter Training Roster & 2025 NTDP Experience.
I believe that training competitively is very important but also understanding what a blessing it is that I get to play this game at its highest level for my age is equally important.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am mentally strong on the court. I am zoned in and love being able to compete with my teammates. I am an encourager to others. I love to cheer my teammates on and celebrate their wins. I think by giving energy, connection and gratitude to the players around me I play my best. Taking eyes off myself and staying focused on the team and how they feel is something I do well with.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Yes, I was a member of National Charity League which provides leadership development and community service opportunities. My mom is a survivor of cancer when I was a baby and she started a non profit helping other women with cancer. I have been an active volunteer in her organization for over 9 years. I am also part of my church youth group and volunteer in the children center Sundays.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have grown into a good communicator with my teammates on & off the court. I think this can be helpful in tight games and has built good connections. I think this helps me be a good leader too. I am coachable too and I think this helps my team. I love serving in the community at my church caring for the kids and within the non profit for breast cancer patients that my mom created and runs.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I transferred from a good local club team at 13s to one of the best team clubs in the nation. The transition was so exciting but also hard. At the beginning of the season I struggled thinking I wasn't enough & it affected my confidence. A coach reminded me I was meant to be there and I deserved the spot. This changed everything for me. She made me believe in myself again. Now that team is family.
What type of college are you looking for?
I looking for a college that has my major and will allow me to enjoy volleyball and receive a great education. I would love to find a school that has the same values that I have. I would also want a coaching staff that has good connections with players.
