Another kid from a not-so-well-known volleyball program, Blaire is a six-rotation athlete that punishes undisciplined blocks regularly. She makes up for her lack of height with a high-and-hard approach to every attack, and even has a small selection of off-speed shots that will throw off even the best-trained of floor defenses. I’m looking forward to the remainder of her club season to see how Boiler Juniors has trained her up for completing her all-around skill set.

One of the reasons for Rossville’s success this past fall, Blaire’s high-and-hard mentality carried her far this fall. Now, with some open-level training and age group comparisons on the horizon, Miss Wellman’s ability to put balls away from both pins should carry her far this club season. Because of her size, she might be relegated to left side play only, but recruiters should understand her ability to terminate from anywhere at any time.

As a right side in club but a full-time pin player in high school, Blaire is the primary attacker for the Hornets. Her ability to attack at any angle and hit any shot available to her at any time is her major asset, and is doing all of this as a freshman.
