About Addison

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with hustle and determination. I go after every ball and im quick on my feet. I also play free and for the love of the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very quick to forget my mistakes when I play. When I mess up, I move on to the next play and force myself to play better to make up for the mistakes. I come off as very “quiet” to a lot of people but when you get to know me im fun to talk to and amiable.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volleyball has taught me that it’s okay to go outside of your comfort zone every once in a while. I used to be silent on the court and almost never talk, but now i strive to be the loudest and most encouraging girl on the court. It has also taught me patience. Nothing comes easy in volleyball, so you have to work extra hard to see results which will take time and patience.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A couple years ago, I had made the top team at my club. Although it’s exciting, I continuously felt like the worst one on the team. This was definitely a challenge for me. I had to work through having zero confidence, little to no playing time, and always feeling out of place. I truly believe this challenge has made me the player I am today. I’m way more confident, humble, and happy when I play.

Premier Nebraska gets on the board with one of its up-and-coming defenders on the 16 Silver roster. Nauenburg has slotted into several different DS roles in 16 Silver’s adaptive lineup, allowing us to see this Norris sophomore’s range and versatility. She has made big strides as a middle-back defender and is keen on sealing seams in serve-receive. Nauenberg found her groove as 16 Silver endured a late-season qualifier gauntlet, so she’ll be well prepared for the next step on the prep stage.
