About Gabriela

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I focus on being dynamic on the court. My gameplay style emphasizes strong blocking and quick attacks. I am effective at reading the setter to anticipate the ball's trajectory, which allows me to make precise, powerful hits and big blocks. I also work on my positioning to ensure I’m a constant threat at the net, both offensively and defensively.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am upbeat, a team player, and a beast on the court. I love being on the court and it shows. I also like cheering on my teammates when I am on the sideline, so we can stay hype and in the game, even if it's not going our way.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in backstage crew and a part of the makeup and costumes group. I have also received Honors all throughout middle school and was in the National Honor Society and the French Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

When working on the backstage crew, I learned a lot about working with others to make sure the vision was delivered on time and I learned that we all need to row in the same direction to be effective. Community service is part of my schooling and I really enjoy opportunities to give back to our community and learn about the challenges of others to see how I might be able to help.
