I watched Hoel a few times last year and was super impressed with her growth from beginning of the season until the end when I saw her at AAU in Florida. This growth showcases her dedication to the sport and the drive she has to be one of the top outsides in the Class of 2028. Hoel brings a powerful, forceful swing and an impressive vertical to the court that are remarkable and fun to watch. I anticipate I will be even more impressed with her growth when I check her out in the upcoming months during club play.

Hoel has made some big strides this season and I really like how smooth she is in pass to attack transition. She has definitely embraced the role as a big swing for her team.

I have been a big fan of Hoel since I watched her play in a preseason scrimmage in Wisconsin Dells. Since then I have followed her season closely and kept tabs on this young outside. When I watched her play on Day 1, I was immediately struck with her growth. Her approach was even more explosive. She had some huge rips that left opponents stunned. I was also impressed with the development of her cut shot and the the big out of system swing that have really come along. Keep grinding kid. You’re turning heads.

I will be making sure to check out Hoel again in Appleton. I recently saw her play and know she is destinated for a great volleyball season. Hoel is another hefty hitter with a quick approach and wide array of shots. Gracelynn also reads the ball really well and thus, has strong net play. I anticipate her Blaze Volleyball Club team will do well in Appleton and that she will one of the keys to their success.

Hoel is an outside hitter from the small town of Hortonville. Playing on the Wisconsin Blaze 15u, Hoel was terminal as a pin in their first tournament of the season. In close games, I often see younger athletes revert to tipping as they are afraid to make a mistake. Hoel isn’t like that. She continued to take big swings, in big moments, choosing to terminate the ball instead of hoping the other team makes a mistake. Hoel’s serve is also a huge advantage for this Blaze team. She is able to score her team many points off her difficult float serve. As this team begins its club season, I anticipate Hoel will be key in big moments.
