Beard (pictured) is turning into a dominant force at the net for 16 Blue. Beard uses her height and high approach to send balls screaming to the ground with a tremendous downward trajectory. Beard goes over blocks and down lines. Defensive specialists have a hard time digging her up even if in the right position. Beard does not get frustrated if the first hits don’t find the floor. She comes back with a different route on the next one. Beard can even smack balls from the back row. Beard has also developed a sound blocking rhythm with aggressive play at the net.

Beard (pictured) has been a big key to the sound Bowling Green net defense. Beard has a great wrist snap and executes slide plays well. Beard hits roll shots off blockers for big points and rebounds quickly after being blocked. She ran some nice tandems on the day. Beard also works well with teammates to form nice double blocks. Beard also puts down overpassed balls well. Beard said the biggest thing on overpasses is focusing on timing. Beard added she strives for max jumping and going straight up to help execute that well.

Beard looks to be one to watch over her high school career. Beard uses her size and athleticism well. She creates tough angles with a sound wrist snap. Beard does a good job smacking balls off blockers for points. Beard sees the court well and makes good mid-air adjustments. Beard has a sound jump serve that throws off opponents.
