About Hadley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a middle blocker and outside hitter that is aggressive around the net. I am a consistent server with a high hitting percentage. I’m also able to play any position on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am extremely coachable and always willing and ready to learn. My coaches love my aggression on the court and leadership within the team. I take pride in my game and am always looking for ways to improve myself. I love to interact with my teammates both on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an active member of my churches youth group. At school, I am a member of the Gifted and Talented program, Beta Club, Dance Blue Organization and KUNA. Outside of school I participate with a group called “A Chance to Dance” which works with children with special needs. Outside of sports I received the Citizenship Award, Social Studies award, and All As all 3 years of MS

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a member of KUNA, which develops leadership skills. I presented at the State Conference last year. I work with A Chance to Dance program for special needs students. These programs have enabled me to learn to be a leader in the community. In volleyball, I take pride in leading by example and setting the tone for practice with my positive attitude.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Last year, my 12 year old cousin died suddenly of a rare heart condition during the season. It was extremely heartbreaking for my family to overcome but we all knew he would be proud to watch me play the sport I love so I dedicated the season to him by writing his baseball number on the back of my knee pads.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will have a major I am interested in pursuing along with a volleyball program that develops me as a player but more importantly a good person
