The California kids are all over these national rankings which includes Ireland Real.  Real is “The Real Deal” – I just had to include the pun.  I remember seeing her as a 15s playing for Wave at Triple Crown, knowing she was going to be a top player in her class.  The length, the athleticism, the overall joy and spark she plays with is so fun to see.  Star quality!  Real is 6’4 where she has a high contact point, is a lethal scorer from the backrow, and has a the “X Factor” about her game.  She will take her talents to Texas where the Longhorns have commits coming in with plenty of USA International Experience.

Her preparation has centered on controlling the details that often separate good performances from sustainable ones, staying sharp in practice, refining small technical adjustments, and taking care of her body so she can compete at a high level across a multi day tournament. She understands that longevity and readiness are built in the daily habits long before first serve.

On the court, Ireland is working to expand her offensive presence, attacking from all areas and becoming less predictable in transition and out of system situations. She has also emphasized maintaining high energy while refining her blocking technique, recognizing that front row discipline and physicality at the net can shift momentum quickly. Her goals are clear, be dynamic, be engaged on every contact, and elevate the standard point by point.

Ireland’s mindset heading into Kansas City reflects maturity. She recognizes Triple Crown as an opportunity to compete at a high level while also embracing the experience. Her message is simple and grounded, compete hard, stay present, and take it all in.

Ireland Real Ireland Real 6'4" | OH Santa Margarita | 2027 State #5 Nation CA , a 6’4″ and committed to Texas, Real came out exactly as expected…on fire. She was a dominant presence at the net and displayed great movement in serve receive, using her length and control to keep Santa Margarita in system. Her ability to transition quickly from defense to offense made her one of the most impactful players on the floor.

State Run:
Ireland will continue her postseason journey on Tuesday, November 11, when Santa Margarita hosts San Marcos in the opening round of the 2025 CIF State Girls Volleyball Championships (Division I). The match will take place at Santa Margarita Catholic High School with first serve scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

Real continued her stellar junior year, as she played an overall key role for the Eagles in this tournament. Whether it was putting down a point offensively or making a big play defensively, Real was there to make it happen for the Eagles.
